After their forced handshake, Nathan greeted the other important generals, shaking each of their hands.

Then, accompanied by Fang and the others, Nathan headed for the command center inside North Army's headquarters.

He sat boldly on the main seat at the very end of the conference table.

The Three Tigers, Seven Champions, and the other generals followed suit, taking their respective seats.

Nathan calmly inquired about the current situation in the North Army, as well as if there were any updates from Xyperia's border army.

Fang stood and answered, “Xyperia has massively increased their troops, and there are now five hundred thousand of their soldiers sighted at our borders.

“A month ago, we canceled all vacations for the three hundred thousand soldiers in our North Army, and we began preparing for the war.

“Now, our army is ready to engage in war at immediate notice. Our victory is very much secured.”

Nathan nodded in approval. “Good.

“Xyperia has gotten more rampant these days.

“While we despise our enemies on the battlefield, it is important to recognize their strengths on the strategy table, so that we don't fall short.

“This time we'll face them head-on. This time we defeat them and send them cowering with their tails tucked in fear.

“With this battle, we're fighting to secure at least ten years of peace for our people. And that, will be worth all our effort.”

Fang and the other generals nodded to one another.

However, a discordant voice also scoffed from across the room. “That's easy for you to say. Pray tell, sir, what exactly are your tactics for this war? Otherwise, anyone can give that same speech.”

Fang frowned. Another troublemaker?

Turning to the source of the voice, Fang realized who the offender was— Myron from the Seven Champions.

Myron and Cyril... these scoundrels are such pains in the neck. Fang was fuming.

He daringly answered the Tigers' questions. “Generals, I am not worthy nor do I intend to take over the commanding position—"

As Myron spoke, he threw an intentional glance at Nathan.

“—but I believe General Nathan is the only man who's qualified to command the North Army.

“The General is the sole reason that this army grew to become Eurasia's strongest military force in a matter of years.

“I believe that this will be the North Army's biggest battle yet, and the best plan of action we can take is to reinstate the General as commander-in-chief.

“Under the General's guidance, our soldiers will fight confidently and valiantly. Only then are we certain to win.” At these words, Cyril and the others couldn't help but be moved. They thought in unison, agreeing that this was a great opportunity to have the General back in the army.

Cyril stood and stated, “Sir, I agree that the General is an important figure for this army. Let us reinstate him, or at least have him as second-in-command, or any other position.”

Orrin, Galen, and the others stood too. “That's right. Chief Governor, please reinstate the General to this army. We want to fight alongside him.”
