Looking at Myron who was astounded, Nathan smiled and said, “General Myron, you have to practice more.”
Myron's face flushed in an instant and he replied with embarrassment, “Yes, Sir!”
With a smile, Nathan left with Colin and the Elite Eight.
However, after taking two steps, he was stopped by Myron who called out, “Chief Military Governor!”
Nathan frowned. Is Myron still not going to give up just yet?
Nevertheless, as he turned around he was baffled by what he saw. Straight-backed, Myron was standing in the most standard posture. He then raised his hand and gave him a military salute.
There was also a hundred and eighty degrees change in the previous loafing comportment of soldiers from the Panthera Battalion and the 113 Division behind Myron.
Every one of them was standing upright with a solemn expression and respect in their eyes as they looked at Nathan.
All of them raised their hands in an immaculate and uniform manner as they gave Nathan a military salute.
Nathan was initially stumped but he soon regained his composure.
He had earned the acknowledgment and respect from Myron and the soldiers in the Panthera Battalion and the 113 Division.
This salute was not only a sign of reverence but also an apology for their previous behavior.
Nathan raised his hand and returned their salute. Then, together with Colin and the Elite Eight, he left to patrol elsewhere.
Just as Nathan left.
Cyril, the leader of the Seven Champions appeared out of nowhere beside Myron.
Grinning, Cyril said to Myron, “Myron, you're fearless, aren't you? You had the nerve to challenge the Chief Military Governor. So now you know how powerful the Chief Military Governor is, don't you?”
Rather bashfully, Myron replied, “Weren't we all General Cross's followers? I was just feeling a little resentful that he was removed from his post while a mysterious Chief Military Governor has been assigned to command us, so I wanted to test this Chief Military Governor's abilities. Who would have known that I'll be shooting myself in the foot?”
Just then, Fang arrived with a troop of soldiers.
Myron, Cyril and the other soldiers quickly
saluted him. “General Fang!”
Fang's face was somber as he asked, ‘What were you saying? Who was fighting with the Chief Military Governor?”
Again, Myron was embarrassed and at a loss for words.
In the end, it was Cyril who told Fang what had just happened.
Fang was both irritated and amused listening to the story and he lamented petulantly, “At the Cabinet in Brimmopolis, many of the adept warriors had been defeated by our Chief Military Governor, including myself. And you dared to challenge him today. You're lucky that he didn't beat the daylights out of you.”
Myron and Cyril looked at each other in silence.
