You lost.

Rax's body shook upon hearing his words.

He looked around at the soldiers of the Felidae Battalion who surrounded him and then at his subordinates who had dropped their weapons long ago before looking at Nathan.

In an instant, he looked as though he had aged a decade.

It was as though he finally accepted the reality and was not in hysterics like how he had been minutes ago.

However, his eyes were still full of hatred as he stared at Nathan.

“You're ruthless, Nathan. I've underestimated you, that's why we were defeated tonight. But don't get excited just yet. We, the Goldstein family, will not give up just like that. Besides, Mr. Davier wouldn't spare you too. Just you wait, Nathan!”

The corners of Nathan's lips tilted upwards and he said indifferently, “I almost forgot about the Davier family but luckily you mentioned them. Don't worry. After I'm done with the Goldstein family, I'll definitely make sure to get even with them.”

Rax sneered upon hearing that, “Getting even with Mr. Davier? You? Hah! Mr. Davier has already removed you from your position as the Commander-In-Chief of the North Army. What makes you think you have the right to fight against him?”

He did indeed think that tonight's failure was just because he had been careless. Otherwise, none of this would've happened.

It's simply preposterous that Nathan wants to challenge the Cabinet secretary, Mr. Davier. He even said that he wants to get even with him!

But Nathan ignored his ridicules. He took a glance at Bax's bloodied clothes and asked coldly, “Do you have any last words?”

The latter puffed out his chest and looked up at Nathan with his face still bloody. “I was careless tonight, Nathan. And I admit my defeat. I'll draw my last breath tonight, but I'll be waiting for you at the highway to hell. You offended Mr. Davier and also the Goldstein family, he'll never allow you to continue being so rampant. I'm warning you, you'll be dead in a few days.”

Right as Rax finished speaking, beams of bright lights were projected from a distance, accompanied by the sound of rumbling car engines as though multiple cars were driving in their direction.

He was ready to meet his death but he couldn't help it when his eyes lit up after seeing the convoy of cars. It was as if he had seen his last lifeline and his heart filled with hope in an instant.

A baleful smile appeared on his face as he said, “Haha. I told you Mr. Davier wouldn't allow you to continue with your cocky acts. He'd definitely kill you. I just didn't expect him to act so quickly. I'm afraid I won't be dying today. Rather, you'll be the one whose time is up. Hahaha...”

Rax's subordinates were dumbfounded when they heard his words and instantly asked excitedly, “Are our reinforcements really here?”

Right at that moment, the convoy of military cars stopped and large groups of soldiers with loaded guns got down from the cars.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

The sound of military boots stomping on the ground could be heard.

The soldiers with sub-machine guns assembled within a matter of seconds right after they got down from the cars.

“Seal off the whole place!” “Yes, Sir!”
