Dennis was furious to be slapped out of the blue.

He held his own face and glared at Tyranno. In a trembling voice, he said, “Tyranno, you...”

Tyranno interrupted, “Dennis Turner, why did you call me over for a suicide mission? Do you not know that Mr. Cross is an extremely powerful fighter? He is the reason my arm is in a cast, and I have over ten men in the hospital because of him. How dare you ask me to go against Mr.

Cross? Are you trying to kill me?”

What? Tyranno lost a fight against Nathan, who broke his arm in the process?

Dennis was flabbergasted.

He scanned Nathan from head to toe again, and it seemed that the former was trying to make sense of everything.

When the men's eyes met, Nathan asked calmly, “So, Dennis Turner, are you still going to kill me?”

Dennis turned red in embarrassment.

He growled angrily, “Don't think you can do whatever you want just because you're a good fighter. This is Brimmopolis. Do you honestly think that no one can deal with you just because you can throw a punch? I bet you don't have the guts to wait a little longer while I call someone else!”

Despite all that had happened, Dennis still refused to admit defeat and wanted to get someone else.

Nathan grinned. He had a cruel smile on when he replied, “Oh, I'll wait. Call everyone you know.

Heck, call your strongest ally over. I'll play this game with you until the very end.”

Dennis fished his phone out immediately.

He didn't make a call once he did that, though. Instead, he thought about who in his network was the strongest.

He had many allies, and among them, the most powerful one was the Deputy Director of the General Office of the Ministry of Education, Freddy Loran.

Freddy's baby brother, Glen Loran, was also in league with the local police.

Asking Director Loran over to help me is the best option.

After coming to that conclusion, Dennis called Freddy without hesitating. The former spoke carefully, “Director Loran, this is Dennis. I'd like to ask you for a favor.”

“Okay.”

In the lobby of the Crystal Hotel.

Dennis sneered at Nathan and threatened, “You are so dead, punk!”

“Really?” replied Nathan nonchalantly with a smile.

Tyranno's gaze shifted between the two men. He suddenly asked, “Mr. Cross, if there is nothing else for me to do, can I leave now?”

Nathan and Dennis replied simultaneously, “No!”

Dennis reprimanded angrily, “Tyranno, you blind fool. How dare you get so scared of an outsider that you slapped me on his behalf? You cannot leave because this matter has not settled yet!”

Nathan chuckled and replied, “You came all the way over, Tyranno, so don't be so eager to leave. Wait until the matter is settled.”

Tyranno started sweating profusely. A bitter taste spread across his mouth, and his heart thumped like it had a thousand horses running across it. What the hell? Why am I, the lowly criminal, involved in this fight among powerful figures?
