It was quick!
An industrial helicopter ascended from the Davier family residence.
Sophia Davier was seated in the helicopter. She was rushing the pilot to hurry up while simultaneously applying her makeup.
She wanted the first impression of the Chief Military Governor of her to be at her best. She intended to steal his heart.
At this moment, Nathan and Kylie were selecting clothes.
The selection at Walker's Suits was wide, but Kylie was fussy. Nothing had managed to catch her interest.
“Do you have anything better?” she asked the store assistant in a dissatisfied tone.
She was unable to fulfill Kylie's demands, so she fetched the store manager.
The manager was a middle-aged foreigner by the name of Laurence.
His eyes brightened when he caught sight of Nathan.
“Oh my goodness,” he exclaimed. “Sir, your frame is a divine piece of art. It is the pinnacle of the male physique.”
“And you are?” Nathan asked, frowning at Laurence.
Laurence hurriedly introduced himself and offered his hand. “My name is Laurence, sir. I am the manager of this establishment and a fashion designer from Yartran.”
“Pleased to meet you, Laurence,” Nathan said, shaking his hand.
“Your body is simply perfection.” Laurence burst out. “I was wondering if you would consent to be my model. I can make you world-class and famous all around the globe.”
“I like your frame too. You have the makings of a fine soldier. When I'm recruiting, yours is exactly what I'm looking for. I was wondering if you would consent to be enlisted. I can turn you into a killer soldier.”
Laurence widened his eyes. “Oh, no,” he said. “I'm not tough enough to join the army. I'm not interested.”
Kylie sounded intrigued. “Well, hurry up and get it. Let him try it on.”
Laurence returned promptly with his masterpiece.
It looked stylish indeed. “Nathan, you need to try this on,” Kylie said, her eyes gleaming with excitement.
Nathan shrugged and allowed himself to be escorted into the changing room.
When he re-emerged, clad in the Black Swan, everybody including the store assistants stared at him with admiration.
“My God,” Laurence exclaimed. “That body, that suit, it's a match made in heaven! The black really brings out your elegance and mystery, sir. Perfection.”
“He's right.” Kylie laughed. “I must say this looks good on you. Everything else in this shop is just drab by comparison. Do you like it, Nathan?”
“It's rather uncomfortable,” Nathan admitted, “I feel more at ease in my military uniform, to be honest. I can't stretch as much as I would like in these. It may affect my combat abilities.”
