In the meantime, in the Starlight Room.

Shae was perplexed. Why does that painting look so much like the one in my uncle's study room? Usually, Ghost Auction House won't sell counterfeit products. But, what's the matter with that abstract painting?Could it be that Huck created two of the same paintings?

Shae knew that Clifford loved to collect famous abstract paintings, especially Huck's works.

Initially, she was still hesitating whether to buy the painting for Clifford.

But when she heard Nathan placed his bid, her face darkened. Then, she ordered her subordinate, “Raise the bid. Initially, I don't really want to get the painting. But since that bas*ard wants it, I won't let him get his way.”

Just as the auctioneer asked if anyone was willing to offer a higher price for the painting, he heard someone in Starlight Room said, “Ms.

Shae offers ninety million.”

The auctioneer's eyes sparkled at that and announced, “Ms. Shae in Starlight Room had offered a price of ninety million!”

The crowd exclaimed in shock when they heard the announcement because that was close to the market price.

Usually, people went to the Ghost Auction House to buy famous collections at a lower price because the items were acquired by illegal means. It's quite rare that the buyer would offer a market price to purchase an item there.

Meanwhile, in the Sublime Room.

Penny turned to Nathan and whispered to him,

“It's Shae. I guess she deliberately make things difficult for us.”

At the same time, Colin and the Elite Eight darted inquiring gazes at Nathan.

Then, Nathan said nonchalantly, “One hundred million!”

Colin felt energized upon hearing that and immediately shouted out, “Mr. Cross offers one hundred million.”

Before everyone could respond to that, Shae outbid again, “One hundred and ten million!”

Seeing as Shae continued to outbid, Nathan frowned.

When is this going to end?

“What is the minimum bid increment?” queried

Hence, she couldn't take it anymore upon hearing Colin's words. She got up from her seat at once, walked toward the window, and said, “You want to outbid me by one hundred thousand? Huh... Then I'll offer five hundred thousand higher than you!”

The auctioneer was stupefied at Shae's words.

Nathan wanted to outbid Shoe by one hundred thousand, while Shoe wanted to outbid the former by five hundred thousand. How am I supposed to continue the auction when it has turned out like this?

Upon hearing Shae's words, Nathan scoffed, “What a copycat! The bad and the ugly always create problems to gain attention!”

Right after he finished his words, Colin, who was his mouthpiece at that time, repeated the sentences, “Mr. Cross said that 'someone' is a copycat! The bad and the ugly always create problems to gain attention!”

Nathan didn't know if he should laugh or cry when he heard that. “Colin, you don't need to

repeat that.”

Hearing that, Colin was so embarrassed that he wished that the ground could open up and swallow him. But, soon, he regained his composure, took in a deep breath, and shouted, “Mr. Cross said I don't have to repeat the previous sentence.”

Penny covered her mouth and let out a small chuckle upon hearing Colin's response.

Meanwhile, the auctioneer and buyers on the first floor laughed like a drain while Shae almost went on a rampage at that.
