That afternoon, back at the headquarters, Nathan had just finished his work for the day when he received a call from Kylie.

He could hear her sobbing through the phone. “Nathan, this is bad! Someone abducted Penny!”

Her news came as a bombshell. Nathan hurriedly asked, “Calm down. Tell me everything.”

Kylie cried, “There was a huge fire. Some kids were trapped, and Penny instructed Ava to save them. But right after Ava left, a mystery man appeared and kidnapped Penny. He was very skilled.”

Nathan was both furious and worried.

He thought it was safe to leave Penny and Queenie under Ava's protection. Yet the enemy

was one step ahead. They made a distraction.

He held back his anger. “Kylie. Are you and Queenie all right?”

“We're both fine. But Penny...” Kylie was sobbing uncontrollably.

“Take care of Queenie. I'll send Colin and the Elite Eight to protect you guys. Don't worry about Penny. I'll form a rescue team immediately. We'll definitely save her. Wait for our news.”

Nathan hung up the phone.

After deploying Colin and the Elite Eight to Kylie, he summoned for Sage.

The major-general was in his uniform as he strode purposefully into Nathan's office and saluted, “Sir, you called for me?”

Beneath his mask, Nathan's voice sounded even colder. “Just a few moments ago, my wife was kidnapped. I don't care what you do, find me her location. You have ten minutes.”

Death Reaper knew trouble was coming their way. They never would've expected Nathan to go to such lengths.

While awaiting news, the man sat eerily still in the conference room.

He could hear the shrill whistling, which was the signal for the Felidae Battalion's to assemble for an emergency mission, echoing throughout the headquarters.
