Nathan could not be bothered by any of them. He only had his eyes set on Penny as he strode towards her.

“Stop!” shouted Shae.

At her command, her subordinates charged at Nathan.

Gold Tooth, on the other hand, kept an eye on Penny.

Bobby and his Death Reapers kept watch over the situation. They had the whole backyard surrounded.

For the first time, Nathan looked at Shae. His gaze was horrifyingly cold. “I have never met anyone as despicable as you. Shae Davier, I'll make you pay for what you've done. Not only you, but the entire Davier family will pay for this.”

“Such empty threats. Make me pay? Forget about your current position. Even if you were still the Commander-in-Chief of the North Army, that would mean nothing against my family. I really wonder where you get such baseless confidence from.”

Shae continued. “My original plan was to get rid of Penny. But since you're here, let's just get rid of you both, once and for all.”

Nathan hissed, “You dare?”

“Nathan, I know you were once Eurasia's God of War. However, all that doesn't matter. Your wife is in my hands. I order you to maim yourself and kneel before me. Else, I can't guarantee what I'll do to Penny.”

Nathan was infuriated. “If you dare touch even a single strand of her hair, I'll end you.”

There was tension in the air. The subordinates under Shae as well as Bobby and the Death Reapers were ready for battle.

Shae hid behind one of her men. “Oh, really? Gold Tooth! Your goddess is right in front of you.

What are you waiting for?”

Upon hearing the go-ahead, Gold Tooth quivered with excitement. He pounced on Penny. “Ms. Shae's order. Don't blame me for this...”

Everyone second-guessed what they saw. It seemed unrealistic that a pebble could create such an impact.
