Chapter 2106 marks a crucial moment in Giselle’s Novel novel, Salute To The General (Nathan Cross). This chapter blends tension, emotion, and plot progression to deliver a memorable reading experience — one that keeps readers eagerly turning the page.
The stout hotel manager was anxious to see a sizeable group of well-dressed and fierce-looking men storming into the hotel. He hurriedly greeted them with a smile, “Dear sirs, what can I do for you?”
Standing proudly like a well-respected man, Langston puffed up his chest as he rolled two meditation iron balls in his right hand and demanded, “Where the heck is Nathan Cross?”
His hostility took aback the hotel manager. “Mr. Cross has a private room at the Royale Restaurant. Sirs, are you all here for his birthday banquet?”
Langston snapped, “We are here for his head; his birthday will become his death anniversary. Bring us in!”
The hotel manager panicked and said in horror, “Sirs, Mr. Cross is an esteemed general, and there is a group of distinguished guests celebrating his birthday. I advise you to leave quickly before there's any regret.”
Although the manager did not know the identities of Nathan's guests, he had met countless people. He could see that Elijah, Zach, Lucas, and some other guests were not ordinary people. He had also accidentally seen a pistol underneath Elijah's jacket and Fang's military dagger.
The manager deduced Nathan's guests were all high-ranking officials from the military.
An outbreak of violence would also affect the hotel negatively. Therefore, he advised Langston and his group not to seek unnecessary trouble.
Langston was born into an affluent family. He practiced martial arts since he was a child. Not only was he wealthy and powerful, but he was also a master of martial arts. He never had to obey the law or bow to anyone, yet a small hotel employee had the audacity to warn him not to create trouble.
His eyes flashed with anger, and he raised his hand to slap the manager.
The impact was so hard, the latter flew backward.
“Who the hell are you to stop me?” Langston strode towards the Royale Restaurant with his companions.
In the private room, Nathan was drinking and mingling with his guests.
Fang filled up his glass and was about to toast the birthday boy.
Bang! Before he could even raise his glass, someone had kicked the private room door open.
Langston led a group of menacing-looking men in with his head held high and declared arrogantly, “Nathan Cross, come out and meet your death!”
Nathan frowned at the uninvited guests.
Langston's threat startled Penny, Kylie, and Queenie, and they froze on the spot.
Fang was flushed red in anger while the other remaining guests' expressions darkened.
A sardonic smile appeared on his face. “I've seen people who seek death, but you guys are craving for it. That's a first. Tell me your names, or I can't return your corpses to your families after I kill you.
Nathan was entertained and turned to Will and the others. “Brothers, he is asking for your names. Come on, report it loud and clear for
him.”
Will stared at Langston coldly and replied in a solemn voice, “I am Will Long, Commander-In-Chief for Capital Garrison of Brimmopolis. I am staying right at the camp there. If you can kill me, please bring my corpse back to Capital Garrison.”
Commander-in-chief for Capital Garrison of Brimmopolis? Will Long, Major-General Long? Damn!
A cold sweat stood on Langston's forehead as he stared at Will in horror.
Unlike now, the latter was always in his military uniform, regardless of the event. That was why Langston did not recognize Will in his casual attire. The man looked like any ordinary citizen.
Now that Will had reported his identity, Langston could only shake in fear at the man who was in control of three hundred thousand troops in Brimmopolis.
His face turned pale, and he was not ready for what was about to happen next.
