“Mr. Vernon, you've come just in time.” Nathan inclined his head.

“I've heard that since your election, you've been very active in culling out the parasites in your office.

“I just happened to run into a parasite here today and called your office for you. Here's a chance for you to remove him.”

“Mr. Cross, what is going on?” Vernon asked. “Show me the parasite in our patrol and what laws he breached. I won't go easy on him.”

The Shulzs and their employees turned pale at the sound of that.

Shangley's instinct told him that an unpleasant outcome was imminent. He stared at Nathan, terrified and confused. This brat, Cross, who is he? Why does the mayor respect him so much?

The crowd stared at Nathan as well, every one of them speculating on Nathan's identity, curious to see who he was to be able to wield this much influence.

Nathan turned to Liliana. “This here is an employee of this park, Liliana Lang,” he smiled as he made introductions. “She was the witness of the entire incident, and to an extent, she is also a victim.”

“Ms. Lang, why don't you explain to the mayor what was it that you have witnessed?”

All eyes fell on Liliana at Nathan's words.

Liliana was overwhelmed with excitement and anxiety, and for several moments, she was incapable of speech.

“But if you are unable to obtain their forgiveness, then the maximum punishment for your crimes awaits you."

Immediately, the Shulzs crawled towards Nathan, Leah, and Liliana to admit their wrongdoings and beg for their forgiveness.

“Mr. Cross, we were in the wrong. We would be willing to bear the costs of your mother's treatment as a sign of our sincerity. Please forgive us this time!”
