Theo panicked when he heard that.
Immediately, he flashed a seemingly charming grin. "I was just testing how loyal he is."
Theo then looked at Zed and exclaimed, "Captain Walker passed the test with flying colors! I'm very proud of him!"
Zed puffed his chest up and replied intently and loudly, "Thank you sir for the compliment!"
Nathan smirked.Theo Bennett really is a sly fella.
Just as Theo was feeling relieved, a policeman suddenly stepped inside, saluted them, and greeted loudly, "Good day, sir!"
Zed frowned. "What's up?”
The policeman reported, "Captain Walker, Tory Lancelot threatened us and said that it's ten minutes to twelve. He wants you to apologize to him on your knees and Nathan Cross to kill himself to atone for his mistakes, in addition to handing over the Cross Group to him!"
"That's preposterous!" Zed bellowed.
Just then, Nathan looked at Theo and said, "Theo, since you're here to oversee this case, you should be aware of how smug Tory Lancelot, the criminal, is right now. What do you think we should do?"
Theo, on the other hand, said cautiously, "Mr. Cross, I think it's better for you to decide!"
But Nathan smiled. "Since Tory Lancelot insists on it, I'll go and see him!"
Tory was lying on the metal bed in his cell when the metal door suddenly swung open.
Following that, Theo and Zed appeared at his doorstep.
Excitement flashed in Tory's eyes when he saw Theo because he knew that Dip Turner must've sent him to rescue himself.
With Theo Bennett on my site, even the Mayor of Channing, Russell Crow, needs to think twice before crossing me. I'd like to see if anyone dares to challenge me now?
Nonetheless, Nathan stared at Tory and said calmly, "You're the most ignorant person I've ever seen! I already warned Dip Turner not to turn up in Channing because I don't want any trouble. I don't mind if you came here to fight me, but you shouldn't have threatened my wife!"
Tory smirked coldly and chuckled, "Are you here to atone for your sins, or are you here to intimidate me? Since you now know Mr. Bennett's power, just kneel right now and kill yourself. If I'm satisfied with your performance, I'll even take care of your wife after you die.”
"Fat chance!" Nathan snorted.
Before Tory could register what was going on, Nathan was already in front of Tory and had landed a punch on his chest.
Tory spit out blood as he was launched backward from the impact. He slammed the wall hard and limped down it.
Instantly, Tory's ribcage was completely shattered, and he grimaced because of the intense pain.
For the first time, fear showed in his eyes as he struggled to say, "Mr. Bennett and his men are right outside, and you dared to hurt me. Aren't you scared that your family will be done for?"
Nathan smirked coldly. "Even if he's standing right next to you, he wouldn't be able to do anything. What more could he achieve if he's out there?"
