"Sure," Theodore said with a smile. 'Til have someone abduct Mary and make her kneel while making you tea. Then, I'll take care of Nathan and Penny."

Mary came from a prominent family in Northania. Most people in Channing admired her background and dared not lay a finger on her.

Theodore Lloyd was the general manager of Ocean Corporation that dealt with firearms.

He used to be a mercenary abroad during his earlier days and was rather well-known in Southeast Asia.

He then became Trip Turner's right-hand man, overseeing the weapons deals to Southeast Asia's Armed Forces.

Whether it was tribal leaders, army chiefs or drug lords, he had seen it all.

Someone like Mary meant nothing to him.

Besides, this woman probably knows Cross very well, considering how much she

respects him.

I should capture and interrogate her about him.

That very night, Theodore ordered his subordinate, Lucas Payne, to kidnap Mary.

However, the guests and security guards blocked their paths. By the time Lucas ordered his men to knock everyone down, Mary had already escaped amidst the chaos.

He hurriedly gave Theodore a call.

Fuming with anger, Theodore ordered

Lucas to expand his forces and capture their target at all costs.

Russell was the mayor of Channing, but he couldn't risk going against the King of the South by protecting Mary.

It certainly wasn't worth the trouble of getting on the Turner's nasty side.

He gazed at Mary pitifully and shook his head. "It's not that I don't want to help you, but you've gotten yourself into too big of trouble. I'd only end up getting myself in

trouble too."

Mary fell to her knees crying. "If even the mayor can't help me, I'm really doomed.”

Russell hesitated for a moment before remembering someone.

He immediately told her, "Ocean Corporation is just too powerful. I won't be able to guarantee your safety even if I help you. However, there's one person in Channing you can go to. As long as he agrees to help, no one can touch you."

"Who is it?" the woman frantically asked.

"Nathan Cross!"
