In the meantime, Nathan and his family finally arrived at another restaurant. They were in another famous restaurant in the East Bay, called the Moonlight restaurant.

They ordered their food once again and sat down for their dinner.

However, Penny, Benson, Leah, and Kylie all sneaked a peek at him.

Especially Kylie; she couldn't stop herself from looking at Nathan with admiration.

Meanwhile, Penny, Benson, and Leah all looked at him doubtfully.

How could he shut down the South restaurant with a phone call within just a few minutes?

Something is off!

Penny and her parents thought that the whole situation was too suspicious, and it was like they didn't know who Nathan was anymore!

Nathan looked at the rest curiously and

said, "Let's eat up. Why do you guys keep looking at me?"

Penny inquired in a serious tone, "Nathan, be honest with me. Are you hiding something from us?"

Kylie raised her voice too, "Yeah, that's right. How could you close down a famous restaurant with just a phone call within a few minutes? That's so freaking cool. Are you really hiding something from us?”

Although Benson and Leah remained silent, they felt that something was amiss.

Nathan knew Kylie was purposely making a scene, so he shot her a sideways glance. He then explained with a grin on his face, "Everyone, there's nothing to hide from you all."

Penny inquired further, "Then why don't you explain to me what happened just now?"

Nathan smiled bitterly, "All I did is to pretend to make a phone call. I was going to scare them. What I didn't know is that there's really something wrong with the restaurant. I have nothing to do with this, really."

Yet, Penny didn't believe what he had said. She sneered, "Take out your phone now."

Penny took down the number and called the East Bay city council right after she ended the call with Colin.

Without surprise, she got the same reply from the city council as well. The explanation from the city council somehow matched the story from Nathan and Colin. It was that they had indeed discovered the existing problems in the restaurant, so they closed down the business with the help of the joint enforcement team.

All in all, Nathan was just lucky in this whole incident.

Now that Penny and her parents finally believed that Nathan had nothing to do with this incident, Nathan smiled and reassured them, "See, I told you so. How's it possible for a restaurant to be closed down in ten minutes? Ten minutes isn't even enough for anybody to stop the joint enforcement team from coming to the restaurant.”

Leah added, "Wow, Nathan! You're just lucky this time!"

Everyone teased at how lucky Nathan was, but what they didn't notice was that Nathan was actually sweating nervously.

Kylie murmured to herself, "I don't believe

in such coincidence. I knew brother-in-law was the one who closed down the restaurant!
