When Penny saw her, mixed emotions filled her eyes. Nonetheless, she still calmly greeted her, "Lulu McDonald. What a coincidence!"

Lulu pulled out a seat and sat down without asking for permission. "Yes, what a coincidence! And who is this?"

Penny went on to introduce, "This is my husband, Nathan Cross."

Lulu's eyes darted around as she casually inquired, "Oh, and what does Mr. Cross do for a living?"

Nathan answered truthfully, "I'm unemployed at the moment.”

Lulu sneered when she heard the answer. "It's no wonder you're here eating such cheap food."

Nathan smiled without denying her claim.

Penny was somewhat displeased and asked, "Lulu, aren't you here to eat?"

Lulu let out an exaggerated shriek. "Eat?

Here? Goodness, I would never eat at such a trashy low-class place!"

Lulu's words had incurred the glares of the other surrounding customers, in addition to Nathan and Penny's frowns.

Penny asked, "If you're not here to eat, then why are you here?"

Lulu answered smugly, "My boyfriend is preparing to make an investment in this area. He's here to have a look around, so I've accompanied him. I usually only dine at Michelin restaurants. Never would I get caught eating cheap fast food like this."

Nathan stood up. "Penny, I'm done eating. Give me a second and I'll drive the car around."

Penny nodded, "Okay!"

Penny nodded, "I guess!"

Lulu was purposely bragging to Penny, hoping to see some form of jealousy or resentment on her face.

Yet disappointingly, there was not a trace of it to be found.

She quickly switched the conversation. "Oh right! Penny, didn't you say that your husband was going to get the car? What's taking him so long?"

"What car is he driving? Don't tell me it's some kind of van! Haha, it must be! You're eating at such a cheap place, you can't possibly drive a nice car..."

Lulu had not finished her sentence when a BMW M760Li xDrive pulled up in front of the restaurant.

She was thunderstruck to see Nathan getting out of the car.
