Quintus had never suffered so much in his life. He lifted his blood-stained face and glared with resentment at Nathan's departing car.

Thomas narrowed his eyes. "I can see you're indignant, but you should know your limits. Our Master has given you one full day to scram. If you're still in Channing tomorrow, you're only digging your own grave."
