Nathan and Penny happily drove home while Felix was standing behind with a dark look on his face.

He had thought that someone as young, rich, romantic, and with an outstanding background as he would be able to easily win Penny over.

And yet his carefully thought out proposal scene was completely rampaged by the Pagani Zonda-driving Nathan, turning him into a laughing stock.

Looking livid, he turned to Wraith, "Look into that Nathan Cross. How on earth could he afford to drive such an expensive sports car?”

"Mr. Felix, I've already done so." Wraith answered respectfully.

Felix frowned, "What did you find?"

"There's barely a handful of Pagani Zondas in China. The one that we saw isn't registered under a personal name but under a company from up North. It's a company car," answered Wraith.

Felix was confused. "Then why was Nathan Cross driving it?"

Wraith chuckled, "The only reasonable explanation is that he spent money and went through some rental agency to rent it."

"There are a lot of people who can't afford to buy luxury cars, yet wanting to impress their friends and relatives. So they just rent cars instead!"

"The daily rental fees, even for high-end sports cars, aren't too expensive. An average person could afford it if they were really determined."

The confusion and outrage on Felix's face evaporated and instead, his mouth turned into a sneer. "Hehe. I knew that my research into him wasn't wrong. He's only a bum that was just discharged from the military. How could he possibly afford to drive such an expensive sports car? So he went to rent it, eh?"

Wraith chose his next words carefully, "But Mr. Felix, Ms. Smith looks a little aloof."

Felix sneered, "Even the wildest horse can be tamed. The wilder they are, the more gratifying it is to tame them."

"What is Mr. Felix's next step?" Wraith asked.

Felix adjusted the gold-rimmed glasses on his nose then answered coldly, "It looks like Penny won't be easy to win over. I guess I'll just have to spend more effort."

He took out his cellphone and looked through the Channing alumni contacts for a number, before making a call.

Lulu smiled, "It's the third son of the Logan family. But you don't need to be jealous. He's called to have me contact some alumni for a gathering. And I suspect that he's doing this for Penny."

Siegfried remembered meeting Nathan and Penny at the restaurant the day before and how he had been shocked by Nathan's BMW.

But after they had reached home, they asked around for more details on Penny.

They eventually found out that Penny had established Cross Corporation, nabbing one of the biggest projects in the city. She had a bright future ahead of her.

As for Nathan Cross, he was nothing more than a bum who had depended on Penny.

The BMW they had seen the day before was likely Penny's too.

When Siegfried heard that Felix's target was Penny, he relaxed and smiled, "Then we should definitely find a way to hook them up. If we do, Mr. Logan would be so grateful to us, willing to throw some scraps our way. We would then be set!”

Lulu laughed, "Yes, we would!'
