Smirking, he explained, "Since the mayor is Cross' backer, using conventional methods won't work. That's why I plan on contacting my friend in the military to ask for help. Even the mayor won't be able to protect him."

Mark exclaimed in joy, "What a great idea!"

Jeremiah was equally excited. "That's right! The military is not under the mayor's jurisdiction. They don't even need a valid excuse to arrest Cross. In fact, they could probably execute him right before the mayor's eyes without even explaining! The best thing is, there's nothing the mayor can do about it! Brilliant!"
