I talked to him Donna said. He said he won't come home. Then I heard, don't cry Lana. I miss him she said. I love him you know that. I don't care if he lost an arm or leg I would still marry him. I know Donna said. He is afraid. He has not lost a limb. His face is scared. I don't care Lana said. As I sat there listening to the conversation I was pissed at Gunner. If I had a woman like Lana nothing would keep me away.

Lana, are you losing weight? I looked at Donna and asked her how she knew that. Because your clothes are loose on you. You have to eat more. I'm not hungry I said. I do eat at work. What once a fucking day? All you do is drink your coffee. You work a full-time job, are doing an internship and going to school full-time. You aren't sleeping and this is not good for you.

Please, you have to stop. Move on and forget Gunner. I can't do that. How can you ask that of me? He wants you to find someone that will love you as much as he loves you. Right. If he loved me he would be here with me now. But he isn't his he? have to go. I have some homework to finish before I go to work tonight. I'll see you later. I heard Donna sigh and I watched as Lana walked over and paid her bill and walked out to her car.

I finished eating and as I stood up and looked over to where she had been sitting I noticed she didn't even touch her food. She cannot live like that I thought. I paid my bill and rode to the compound. As I walked in one of the prospects said. Hawk, Lana is not looking well. If you noticed she is losing weight and you can see her collar bones. I know I said. Maybe we should invite her to a cookout. She probably would not come the prospect said.

I walked into the clubhouse and over to the bar. I ordered a beer thinking about how happy her letters were she would send Gunner and she could not wait for him to come home. The pictures she would send of herself and Donna his sister doing different things. Pictures of her and Donna covered in paint from painting her kitchen. Then he remembered the extra packages she sent for him, Falcon, and their buddy Tanner. She knew they did not have a family of their own accept their grandparents and she wanted us to receive gifts as well.
