Gael Dorsey stared at Colton Lawrence. “What martial arts technique did you use, Colton? It’s filled with bloody, evil energy. Is this an evil technique?”

Colton laughed loudly. “Why is it an evil technique? Why is there bloody, evil energy? How could I be using an evil technique? I’ve killed over a million demon beasts on the battlefield, and it gathered for me an unmeasurable evil aura and bloody scent. As a military counselor that gives only terrible advice behind the scenes, you wouldn’t understand it. You shouldn’t speak nonsense either. It only makes you sound ignorant.”

Gael’s heart filled with rage when she heard this. She wasn’t an ignorant woman, her background was unique. In reality, she was born during the republican era. The daughter of a military man, she decided to join the war afterward. She was, however, wounded by a traitor, where her physical body and soul were refined into some sort of battle puppet. She was only rescued after a century.

She was a profoundly knowledgeable woman. However, this was truly her first time witnessing the aura Colton emitted.

Colton didn’t look at Gael, staring at Jonathan Ferris instead. “Jonathan, do you admit defeat? You’re a grown man. Are you not going to eat your words? From now, you’re a follower of mine! Now, I shall employ my seniority and recommend myself as the commander of the Flying Eagles. Right-wing Lieutenant, Jonathan Ferris, votes to support me. Gael Dorsey, what do you

say?”

Gael looked at Jonathan.

However, she saw his head hanging low, seemingly agreeing silently to what Colton had said.

Gael then looked at Nash Youngblood.

However, Colton laughed coldly. “Gael, don’t bother looking at that ant. He’s just someone the government sent to get a word in. I’ve never considered him a candidate. If the government dares interfere with the matters at Flying Eagles, I’ll kill them.”

Gael wore a dark expression on her face. “Fine. Since you said the strongest person would become commander, I’ll compete with you,” she finally said.

As soon as she said this, her two friends stopped her. “Don’t do it, counselor!”

“Colten’s capabilities are far greater than we expected. He will kill you.”

“My mind is made!” Gael insisted.

As the military counselor, she would never change her mind once she’d decided on something. Her friends all knew her personality well. Once they heard what she said, they could only back away and observe nervously.

Colton chuckled softly. “Alright, as you wish! Lone military counselor, why don’t we make a bet as well?”

The two clashed, but it was immediately apparent who was stronger. Although Gael was already trying her best, Colton was barely putting in any effort.

Finally, Colton wanted to play no more. He grabbed at Gael’s long whip. After snatching it away, he turned the whip upon Gael’s face.

“What do you say?!”

“Will you submit?!”

“Who else wants to fight with me?”

“Is there no one else? Great. In that case, I announce that from now, I, Colton Lawrence, will be the commander of the Flying Eagles!” Colton exclaimed.

Right then, the meeting room’s door was pushed open. Jade Benmore walked in. “Have you asked me about becoming the commander?” Jade asked coldly.

“Huh?” Colton nearly bit his tongue off when he saw Jade.
