The d*rned child ignored him.
Indeed, this was a child who didn’t think ahead and didn’t have any emotions!
“Run, hurry up and run!”
Right then, people from the American Defense Bureau felt as if they were being stared at by an ancient evil spirit when the scrawny old man glared at them. They were so scared that they felt goosebumps all over their bodies. Their buttocks felt chilly. Someone started shouting, and the entire group fled frantically.
“Are you running after yelling at me?
“Do you think I’d let that happen so easily?” The scrawny old man yelled. The soundwaves exploded, and circles of golden light emitted from his mouth. The golden blade rays connected and instantly swept past several tens of Defense Bureau’s members.
Boom, boom, boom…
A few explosions could be heard.
Those people were all blown into a bloody mist.
“Humph! Useless! You practically can’t even take a single hit!” The scrawny old man murmured. He then retrieved the imposing aura around his body, and his back became hunched again. Now, he looked as if he would stop breathing at any moment. He turned to look at Alex Rockefeller with his odd gaze once more and chuckled eerily. “Kiddo, do you see how powerful I am? If you don’t want to end up like them, be a good boy and hand over that ancient bridge.”
Being stared at by the old man’s piercing gaze gave Alex a headache and made his body tense.
The old man was emitting a strong demonic aura. A kind of strange symbol even appeared in between his brows. It looked like an ancient form of text that resembled a dragon or a phoenix, but it also looked like a crossover between a tortoise and a snake.
The strong, imposing aura pressed down on Alex’s head.
It almost felt like a mountain was on top of him, it was pushing him into a river.
If it weren’t for Alex’s strong body and the support of the Chaos Tree inside, he would’ve been forced to kneel long ago. Cold sweats appeared on his forehead.
Right then, the scrawny old man suddenly sensed something and looked in the eastern direction. His golden pupils contracted. “Kiddo, I remember you. I’ll come back for you,” he said.
After that, his body exploded, and he disappeared before Alex’s eyes.
Boom!
The ground beneath Alex’s legs suddenly blew apart. This was because the old man’s pressure was too great.
“It’s a long story. Coincidentally, I have a favor to ask of you, Elder Yuno. I want to go to a dungeon. I wonder, will you be free to come with me?” Alex asked.
That old man was too terrifying. If he was terrified of Yuno, then keeping Yuno around was the best thing for Alex.
“Sure!” Yuno’s eyes lit up when she heard this.
It wasn’t a good idea to stay here for too long.
After that, Alex immediately left California with Yuno. They headed to Imperial Capital at top speed. Alex’s mother, Brittany Rockefeller, was still there. Now that Alex was being pursued by Flying Eagles and the Defense Bureau in America, he felt unsafe leaving her in the Imperial Capital.
As soon as the two of them left, a few members of the Defense Bureau and Flying Eagles gathered around with pale faces.
They saw from afar how the old freak killed a few people with a flick of his finger. That kind of power was terrifying. They still couldn’t calm down right now.
“Let’s go!”
“Report to our superiors immediately!”
