“She… Gave birth?”
Upon hearing the infant’s cries, Alex could sense that they were connected by blood, and it moved his heart instantly in a special way. It was a fascinating feeling. It felt as if he was a brand new version of himself as if his life had continued.
He couldn’t care less about the changes within his golden core and rushed over. Instantly, he saw Daya, who seemed to be very weak. Her forehead was drenched in sweat, and her face was even covered in bloodstains.
In her arms was a tiny, fair skinned baby, crying loudly.
He stopped in his tracks, not knowing what to do as the father. He approached them slowly as his eyes nervously fixated themselves on the baby girl. He reached out his arms, but he didn’t know how to pick her up.
Alex touched Daya’s face instead, placing his forehead on hers and kissing her on the lips.
He could feel the pain she had to go through.
“How did you manage to give birth in such a short time? You must be tired, huh?”
“A little, but this is the happiest day ever! We couldn’t bear a child in our previous life and the life before that. But now, our wish has come true!”
Alex didn’t know what to say.
“Hubby, do you remember who I am now?”
Alex looked at her as their eyes locked, their mental power synchronized in the air, forming a powerful magnetic field in the area.
Although Alex had robust mental strength, Daya’s was even stronger. The two seemed to be communicating telepathically. Every string of mental power seemed to be flowing with color, merging into one and transforming into a large memory cocoon. This cocoon wrapped the two… No, the three of them up.
Suddenly, Alex saw the following…
A large hall was located in the middle of a mountain range. It was filled with fairy energy as the stars shone brightly in the sky. A grand wedding was being held in the area.
The bride wore a gorgeous white wedding gown. Looking tremendously elegant, her beauty exceeded all. Throngs of guests gathered, and most were very powerful figures as well.
A saint rode a large crane over while a deity arrived in a carriage pulled by nine dragons. Influential members of certain clans had even ridden the wind just to give their blessings to the newlyweds…
After a closer inspection, Alex jumped in surprise. That bride was Daya.
He tried to get a better look at the groom in the flashback, but he just couldn’t seem to get a good view of his face. So he couldn’t identify the man.
Then, the flashback ended right there.
His whirlpool of emotions slowly calmed as he turned to look at Daya. “I saw… I saw the groom leaving you at the wedding. Was… That your past life? I couldn’t tell who the groom was, though. Who was he? Don’t tell me he was…”
“That’s right. It’s you.”
“So it is me…”
Alex was shocked, but he couldn’t remember this at all, as if some unknown power was sealing the memories from his past lives. Back then, he had never needed to look into such memories, but with Daya’s telepathy, he could suddenly sense all of these.
He clutched his head. A sharp pain struck him like a freight train within his skull.
