Gabriel vomited blood again. He smiled sadly. “Good, great, amazing!”
“You really are her son… Huhhh…? She did say that I’d die in the hands of my own son when she left. I didn’t believe her, but… Pfft… I have no other choice but to do that now. Don, you really do… Look a lot like… Her…”
When Gabriel said this, he was getting less and less oxygen by the minute, his face pale as a sheet. Blood poured out of the gaping wound in his back.
Donovan froze. “What did you say? What do you mean by that?”
In reply, Gabriel merely coughed out more blood.
Mica froze as well. ‘Donovan… Is he really my brother?’
Alex shook his head. “Tsk tsk tsk. Such a pity. You tried to kill your sister, then killed your father yourself. You’re reckless and clumsy, yet you dare to think about ruling over the three thousand worlds? Dream on, my man. You can dream about anything you like!”
The members of the Plenilune sect were gossiping amongst themselves as well, somewhat shocked. However, many still watched as though a mere comedy, where faint smiles broke on their faces.
Even the Peak Lords of the Sun Shrine were shocked.
Gabriel did a really good job at keeping this secret, so n one knew that Donovan was his son.
“Hey, say something! Say something!” Donovan yelled in anger as he grabbed Gabriel by the shoulders. He couldn’t accept this one bit
Gabriel finally mustered up some strength. “Go to the Northern Ocean and look for your mother. Sh… She is the Holy Maiden of… The Orlando family… Dolores Orlando.”
After that, he took his last breath.
Donovan’s blade was extremely sharp, a mystical tool that he found in the ancient ruins. It was filled with intense evil Chi, able to destroy a soul from within. Hence, it was pretty impressive that Gabriel managed to say something, despite being stabbed right into his heart.
“Sect master, sect master…” One of the Peak Lords called for Donovan. “Do we continue using the Tower of God?”
“Ah!!!” Mica screamed.
Just then, Alex summoned the Chaos Bell, covering the both of them.
Donggg…
The clash was so loud that his ears rung. Yet Alex still managed to hear Donovan speaking outside. “Burn! Burn till he breathes his last. Then I’d deal with him in my own ways. I want to dig out all his little secrets.”
The true fire of Samadhi continued to burn the tower. It even burnt a hole into the ground as the rocks around the tower had melted. The high temperature made its surroundings turn into ash.
The members of the Plenilune sect were sad and petrified. Since Alex was trapped in the tower, they figured that he probably died in flames. They were worried about how the Sun Shrine would deal with them next.
At the time, Alex was still murmuring to himself. “I wonder if I could take this… Erm… Tower of God or something?”
