Alex was indeed heading nearer to the Endless Sea. He originally wanted to take this road, after all, since he’d like to take a look at Mount Oro as well…
‘That so-called Olympus mountain thingy… What is it all about anyway?’
On the other hand, the Mystic Maiden promised Alex that she’d think of a good route for the Wastelands but still couldn’t come up with any ideas.
Most importantly, her soul wasn’t complete, so she had limited powers for now. However, she already used her trump card when slaying the Yadav Akaaran Buddha as well. Her remaining energy had been entirely used to refine the Chaos Leaves to form a new body for herself.
This was why… Her current state was relatively weak. She couldn’t possibly handle the great Golden Immortal demon from the Peacock Tribe, let alone forcefully break the void and pass through the overlapped space to the Wastelands as Crazy Crone did.
Basically, it just meant that she was currently just a weakling. She was only able to handle insignificant people like Colette. She’d need quite some time before she could handle anyone stronger.
“Urgh, what a scam!” Alex sobbed. “I was just tricked into signing a contract, and now I have to take care of you in the end!”
The Mystic Maiden paid no attention to his sorrows but seemed quite proud of this instead. “Oh, little servant, hide your happiness all you want. So many wish to become my servant, yet I didn’t choose any of them. As long as you’re following me, you’ll have a bright future ahead of you.”
“You’re just a big scam! You scammed me for my body. What else do you want from me?”
“Hey, don’t say it like that. When have I ever scammed you for your body? Just look at how weak you are. I really am not interested in it one bit. All my subordinates back then were a hundred times stronger than you. Anyone could defeat you by just achieving a Golden Body!”
“And just think about it, didn’t you become stronger after I taught. You the breathing technique to train your organs? Since you don’t have a master, I can teach you something now and then.”
Alex pondered and couldn’t help but admit that it was the truth. Without her help, he wouldn’t have been able to break the Fire Tower of God back in the Plenilune Sect
“You can take this chance to use the Stardew Fruit to train your organs again before the great Golden Immortal Demon finds you. I think you can manage to merge your soul and body as one this time, which means your body would be as strong as steel.”
Alex replied, “Strong as steel? I think I’ve already achieved this a long while ago, though?”
The Mystic Maiden scoffed. “As if, sh*t head!”
Alex was speechless. “Hey, you’re a goddess. How could you be so vulgar and scold me like that?”
“Patience, Piglet. I’ll give it to you once I’m done. Just keep walking.”
The Treasure-hunting Pig huffed. “Who are you calling Piglet? That sounds ridiculous.”
“So let’s just call you Peppa Pig then.”
“Urgh, that’s such a bad name. Are you brain dead to have come up with a name like that?” The pig demon huffed once more.
“Okay then, I’ll give you a unique and impeccable name, Pigsy!”
This time, the pig demon stopped talking. It felt that the name was quite suitable for his status, and it sounded rather cool as well. It liked the name a lot since it fit its criteria, a smile plastered across its face as its eyes curved up into a fine line.
Alex decided not to pay any more attention to it and finished his fruit in a few bites.
