Now that he had opened up 499 pressure points in his body and refined them into 499 golden cores, Alex’s body was pretty cramped up. If the public were to find out about this, they would be terribly shocked, questioning their own existence.
People would typically react this way when no normal person could produce this many golden cores. Not even a hen could produce this many eggs. However, he had been walking a different path after learning the Ten-Point Forbidden Spell, and he was walking further down this road.
Now that all his golden cores were gathered, they turned into the furnace. It was pitch black inside, ignited with an odd, mysterious flame that would change colors once in a while. There were even mystical symbols flowing around, shining on Alex’s body and soul
In these situations, the light could shine upon any markings left within his body without fail. It would seem that this one was hidden in a very secluded place. He wouldn’t have noticed it even if he were to inspect in detail, let alone how he usually operated.
‘Ynes Larkin?!’
‘So it was her!’
After he found the mark, Alex traced it back to its source and investigated. In the end, he concluded that it had been planted by the Holy Maiden of Yorkshire Palace.
Thinking back to his relationship with this holy maiden, he couldn’t help but feel ridiculous.
However, he figured that he had cut ties with her after he handed Yves the jade medal that Yasmin left for them. At the time, Alex concentrated a forbidden spell energy, preparing to move the marking into the furnace to destroy it once and for all. As he was the secret spell to find the source of this, to investigate where the soul conscience came from, it let out a bright ray of light.
He then heard someone’s voice.
“Help me!”
‘What?’ Alex froze. ‘Ynes is asking me for help. Is she being hunted down?’
More importantly, the existence of that marking was an actual way of communication, as if it was able to form a bridge between the two. He attached his divine consciousness to the marking to try and communicate with her. “Ynes?”
Ynes replied. “It’s me, Rockefeller. You dang jerk! Someone’s trying to kill me now! Where are you? Come save me!”
“…Ahhhh, I’m done for, I’m so dead! No one ever survives the Endless Sea! What do I do now? I’m going to die! Ugh, Rockefeller, you horny bastard! I will haunt you in your dreams!”
Alex sighed, knowing that this relationship would bring him even more trouble in the future. However, he couldn’t bear to just sit back and watch when Ynes was just an unlucky victim in all this.
“Come toward me. I’ll meet up with you soon. Don’t worry, as long as you run fast enough, you won’t die.”
Alex called an Undead beast over, it was obviously possessed by an Einherjar.
The beast looked similar to a shark, but it was quite malnourished, and its body looked worn out, as if it was just skin and bones. This was the epitome of a ghost shark, but they possessed great speed.
Since Alex had a sword heart, these fake Undead beasts recognized his strength and thought he was someone close to the woman in a red dress. Hence, they decided that it was safe to trust him completely.
