Boom!
A white light flashed through the sky, landing on the shield above Michelle’s head lightly but let out a loud noise.
Her phone was struck by lightning, too, causing sparks and smoke around it.
The live stream ended right there and then, but Michelle couldn’t possibly care any less about that now. She had seen tribulations quite a few times. The women of the Rockefeller family would somehow frequent the tribulation. For example, Waltz, Maya, Beatrice, and Brittany had crossed their tribulations already.
Maya had especially crossed a few tribulations at this point in time… That was because her powers were now as strong as the Fairy Doctor now. She had achieved Spirit Severing.
That was considered relatively quick for cultivators, after all. Without any other factors helping her, Maya was still able to improve at such an incredible speed. Her potential was simply too great.
If Maya were to be admitted to some ancient clans, she definitely would’ve been nurtured and taught as if she were a legend. Many saintly sectors would want her to join desperately as well.
However, comparing her tribulation to the others, Michelle wanted to cry.
‘Isn’t my lightning tribulation a little too much?’
‘Why is there fire too?’
Still holding the shield above her head, she felt as if her arms were going to break. Moreover, metal was conductive, so it seemed that it didn’t help take such lightning.
“Alex, help! This shield is conductive. It’s useless!” she screamed.
“Who said so? Just look at the lightning. It’s bouncing off of the shield. There’s not much left for you to take on anyway. Hold on. It will pass soon enough,” Alex said, yet still secretly frightened.
‘Why would a Core Formation tribulation involve divine fire? What did Michelle do to deserve this?’
Alex was annoyed too. He didn’t want to see such stubbornness, he only wanted some intel.
Just then, the Mystic Maiden spoke up. “Aren’t you just trying to fish out some information out of it? There are so many easier ways, you know?”
Alex wanted to give up. “If you think you can do it, then go for it. Can you not tell that it wishes to die? Why don’t you come out and seduce it, like how you winked at me last time. It’d definitely be quite effective. Maybe it’d be entranced and spill everything it knows.”
The Mystic Maiden kicked him in the nose. “I’m your master. If you dare to disrespect again, only punishment awaits. None of my servants are reliable, urgh, and it gets worse with every generation. It’s like I’m a nanny here.”
“Mmh…” Alex held his nose. A sharp pain shot right into his brain. “How many servants have you had in the past? Besides, how old are you even?”
The Mystic Maiden huffed coldly. “How can you simply ask a goddess about her age? The only answer is that I’m a young maiden.”
