Alex froze, instantly sensing the oddities around him. There seemed to be a mysterious force within this land, sucking the life out of him at rapid speed.
He could obviously feel his energy depleting by the second. After that, this sensation arose within every single person here.
“God, this place is weird. I can feel my life depleting… It’s being sucked away.”
“I feel it too. I feel like I’m getting older.”
“What is this? Why would something like this happen? Quick, quick, let’s leave this creepy place.”
Everyone was panicking at this point, running as fast as they could away from this place. They used every way they could think of , hoping to defend themselves from this mysterious force. However, in mere moments, everyone was met with disappointment.
No matter how much they fought, they couldn’t seem to fight back They were even unable to slow down their aging.
Channing lost his cool, clearly freaking out. Since he was the oldest within the group, he didn’t have much life force left. At this rate, he would be drained within an hour and die.
He didn’t want to die at all. He looked at Daya and asked, “My queen, do you have any ideas? I think I’m dying soon. Help me. Please help me…”
Daya was slowly losing her life force as well. She looked around the place, yet it just seemed endless. The place was filled with a neverending silence, devoid of the slightest hint of life. The sky was grey and cloudy, where neither sun nor moon was visible. One wouldn’t even be able to identify directions here.
“Saintly Luna Branch!”
Daya stabbed the otherworldly treasure of the Pixie tribe into the ground. She intended to set up a natural boundary within this place, hoping to stop this mysterious force. However, the branch couldn’t seem to function here. It wasn’t doing anything at all.
If this were any other place, a large tree should ’ve sprouted from the ground, forming a large forest boundary.
Ynes used a form of mystic art as well, but even that didn’t work either.
Alex’s Chaos tree might be able to absorb Chaos energy, but it couldn’t stop his life from being drained either. He even tried setting up boundaries and realms, yet none succeeded.
More importantly, he had lost all connection to the Cleansing Vase and all his storage treasures. He initially tried to consume pills that provided more life force, but he couldn’t do so in the end. The only thing working was his mind palace.
“Alex, think of something!”
Daya and Alex’s appearance didn’t change all that much, but the effects were still apparent. They were aging quickly, too, just slightly slower than the others.
Pigsy screamed hysterically. “Oh my god, this place is way too ominous. There are age spots on my body too. I’m still a virgin, and I don’t even have a family yet! My future son is still waiting for me, so how can I die of old age here?!”
Alex said, “Pigsy, you’re fast. Carry us on your back now, then run in one direction!”
When Pigsy heard this, it wanted to escape on its own and leave the others behind. However, Daya’s branch snagged it, and it couldn’t struggle free. Without any other way out, it expanded its body and carried everyone on its back as it complained loudly. It then turned into a ray of lightning and decided on a direction to run in.
“Argh, argh!”
It zoomed off at ten times the speed of sound, then twelve, then twenty…
Pigsy was already at its maximum speed, but this wasn’t just its power alone. Alex, Daya, and the others had used other various tools to assist, throwing in everything they had. They just used multiple talismans, spells, mystical treasures, and even divine supporting arts.
