However, Alex’s Requiem Clock was also the reason that they disrupted this woman. She lunged at Pigsy, attacking it with her palm. But, the noise made her pause for a brief while.
Due to this short pause, Pigsy escaped as it let out a long and loud oink, running off into the forest like a ray of light. Despite this, the woman still managed to slap the end of Pigsy’s tail, causing that end of the bone to fall to the ground.
Pigsy didn’t dare to get it back.
“The Requiem Clock?”
This female outsider didn’t chase after Pigsy. Instead, she was looking at the clock in Alex’s hands. There weren’t any eyeballs in her sockets. Otherwise, they would’ve been filled with greed.
It was simply impossible not to feel excited about this. The Requiem Clock was a holy treasure, after all.
This place was a demon realm under the Dairaionji Temple. With something like the Requiem Clock, one would have a greater chance of entering the temple when sinking into the Pool of Afterlife.
That was why she had to obtain the clock, hence going on a frenzy.
Shing!
Two short blades formed in her hands, both glistening under the light, radiating pressuring energy from within. Around her was a three-layered Immortal Wheel of Life, spinning around her as if it were a shield.
There were different layered Immortal Wheels of Life. One layered wheel was for Innnortals, two layered wheels were for Human Immortals, whereas three were for Earthly Immortals.
So this indicated that the woman was an Earthly Immortal, still able to show her cultivation skills within this hellish place.
“Argh!” The woman screamed. Paired with her helmet, a hoop of silver mental energy attacked them as if it were an avalanche…
It didn’t just feel like an avalanche, it was as big as an avalanche.
The woman’s mental attack formed a mental realm within this area. It even manifested a mystical scenery of the moon rising out of the sea. A full moon slowly rose from the horizon of the deep blue sea. They could even hear the wind blowing as waves crashed onto the shore.
At the same time, an endless spiritual pressure was trying to swallow Alex’s mental world whole.
“Hold it, Clinton!” Alex yelled, dragging Shirley toward him, so the clock covered the both of them. He also inserted large amounts of divine power into it.
The mystical scenery became even clearer now. The third layered Immortal Wheel of Life appeared in the reahn as well. This made the attack even heavier…
The woman was set on obtaining the Requiem Clock, and she couldn’t afford to let anyone witness this. She was worried that her companions would find her, so she had to speed things up.
“Ah, my head hurts! It’s like my scalp is breaking open!” Shirley screamed, hugging Alex tightly.
Alex was very uncomfortable in this situation too. Despite being under the Requiem Clock, he could still see the waves and the bright moon.
Clinton, the spirit of the Requiem Clock, screamed. “This woman mastered the Moonrise Illusion. That’s the ultimate form of a mental realm. Only one in a billion people could master this! This woman must be a Holy Maiden of some clan! Her potential is endless, so she must have been trained like a seeded player. She’s extraordinary!”
Alex yelled, “What’s the point of saying that now? Just hold it!”
Clinton shook his head. “I’m at my limit! Your mental power simply isn’t strong enough. It dictates the limits to my power, you know!”
“F*ck!” Alex cursed, knowing that Clinton wasn’t reliable.
