Alex curled his fingers and flicked the chaperone’s approaching sword’s back with a ‘ding’.
2,999 golden cores in his body slowly rotated and provided energy to him. Black and white runes enveloped his fingers as well. This flick was absolutely exceptional.
The chaperone’s heart skipped a beat as his hand holding the sword’s hilt trembled. To his surprise, he almost failed to keep the blade stable, and a mighty force spread from it, hitting him. He felt like a meteorite from the sky had struck him, causing him to back off consecutively.
His stomps formed a few deep craters, and he only stopped in his tracks after taking five steps backward.
Crack!
A slight cracking sound unexpectedly came from his blade. At a glance, the flick had formed a crack on the blade. This was too outrageous.
The man was dumbstruck, let alone the other few people with weaker cultivation levels.
Alex shattered that fire bird’s attack with a slap. As for the thunderous white light, Alex even swallowed it with a gulp as tonic under the other party’s dumbfounded gaze.
Dead silence filled the scene once again.
However, just as Alex had domineeringly resolved this wave of attacks and during the gap before the second wave of attacks, the people hiding in the woods attacked. An otherworldly streak of light, a blue feathered arrow with the aura of laws of death shot through the woods at Alex’s chest.
Swoosh!
At the same time, the Mystic Maiden of the Nine Heavens made her move. She unleashed a red glowing streak with her Arash’s Bow to intercept that attack.
Wham!
“That magical arrow is alive and can return on its own after it’s been shot?!”
The man was astonished, but greed appeared in his eyes after that.
Alex stepped on Lunafreya’s sternum with one foot and said coldly, “Call all your companions over. I’ll settle them once and for all.”
The Xavion Sword in his hand lurched up to Lunafreya’s neck. Ifhe exerted force with his hand now, he could decapitate her right away.
Lunafreya fell to the ground, and her body stiffened. She was ingenious and had a dignified identity, an extraordinary background, and exceptional talent. She had never been treated like that, so she was about to explode with rage. She, however, knew it was useless to be infuriated, so she immediately said, “We have no one else. Those in the woods aren’t our people.”
She was quick-witted and instantly continued, “I can tell that we belong to the same world and universe. Why don’t we cooperate and fight the foreign enemies together? We harbor no ill intentions toward you.”
