“Using paper clones. What a smart trick!”
Xerxes exclaimed in awe. He’d been a disciple of the Maiko Sect and heard about paper clones. Unfortunately, the spell had been lost through time, so he didn’t know how to use it.
The next second, energy waves erupted from the tunnel. Just as the two clones entered, heatwaves burst out. Numerous orange wind blades blasted out from the tunnel. There seemed to be a mysterious, deadly flame within each of them.
Slash slash!
The two clones were sliced apart in an instant, turning into shreds.
The few jumped back with startled expressions, especially Claudia. If Alex hadn’t hit her with the seal just now, then she would be the one encountering these blasting hot wind blades right now.
Looking at the strength of the deadly energy, she definitely wouldn’t have escaped without Alex. Even losing an arm or leg would be considered a mild injury.
“What was that?” Luna was pale with fright. “I didn’t encounter any wind blades when I escaped last time.”
Alex frowned as well and said, “Something is up.”
Since he had inserted his fresh blood into his paper dolls, he could see what the clones saw.
Right when the clones were slashed apart, he saw something. Yet everything happened so fast he couldn’t get a clear look.
“Let me have a go!” Claudia couldn’t come to terms with how she’d nearly been killed. She wanted to attack the mysterious force on her own.
Her skill was called Serenity, but the weapons she used were unusual, they were embroidery needles. With a wave of the hand, she sent needles flying. The threads attached to the end of the needles weren’t ordinary. Silver in color and as fine as vellus hair, they were likely silk
After that, the orange wind blades reappeared. The tough silk was burned by the blades. Even the needles melted.
Besides that, the blades seemed to be spiritual. After they destroyed the weapons, they headed out of the tunnel and targeted Claudia.
Bodhi’s Dragon-Tusk let out a sea of golden light. It roared like a dragon and an elephant and was as bright as the sun. The rough hit landed heavily.
Boom! Boom!
The tunnel trembled, sending out miles of vibratos. It was so loud everyone felt like their eardrums were about to burst.
Further within, horrifying screams and roars ensued.
Alex sent out several punches as he shouted, “Come out!”
There was actually someone in the tunnel, controlling the wind blades down there.
‘But who could this mysterious guy be?’
