“Hahaha! As expected, you’re still here! You won’t be escaping this time!”
Julian was lightning fast, since the ice layers no longer had the blessing of the Ice Mother Chaos, they were more fragile than the underground layer of earth. A dozen flying swords could tear the defense apart easily.
Alex secretly called Ancestor Bodhi, “Hurry up. Send me back to the original world.”
Ancestor Bodhi poked his head out. After looking at Julian who was 110 yards away from him, he touched his bald head. “No way. Didn’t I tell you before? The Ancestral Bodhi Tree is undergoing detoxification at this critical juncture and must not be disturbed. Hence, you can only go through this tribulation on your own.”
“Darn it!”
Alex was about to curse him. Only then did he recall the detoxification. More importantly, he had no idea how long the the Ancestral Bodhi Tree would take to heal and detoxify.
Wouldn’t he be trapped here for a few years if the process was not completed by then?
No…
“Ancestor Bodhi, at most a hundred breaths’ time is left in this world. After that, it will collapse and everything inside will turn into nothingness. You’ll have to think of a way to get me out, no matter what.”
Upon hearing that, Ancestor Bodhi fell silent for a few seconds.
What he had told Alex was just an excuse. If he wanted to send Alex away, he could do it right now. However, he knew he still had to execute the plan with integrity as he remembered Shelly’s words.
‘Indeed. It seems the entire world’s collapse is a life or death matter. Technically, I can lend him a hand.’
At that thought, Ancestor Bodhi responded as he said, “Alright. A hundred breaths’ time, right? It appears I can only take a chance since it is such a crucial moment. Give me the time of a hundred breaths, and I’ll secretly try to divert the Ancestral Bodhi Tree’s attention to deal with this matter of yours.”
“It is not about if you can do, but you must be able to. Otherwise, I will die here and you guys will be equally done for,” Alex said.
As he spoke, Julian had already attacked him impatiently. Forming some kind of awesome sword formation, a dozen flying swords rushed over from behind like a flower of flame.
‘No. I must never let him escape.’
Roar!
Julian roared before punching himself in the heart. He was desperate, punching himself repeatedly till he spat out a mouthful of blood essence.
Bleurgh!
The large mouthful of his heart blood essence splattered on his weapon.
The next second, his dozen flying swords simultaneously emitted bloody sword light. Dozens of yards long and going underground a dozen miles, they unleashed their fiercest slash, like otherworldly lights, on the ice barrier.
When Alex saw the scene, he scolded, “Julian Fourcade, you old fart. Do you think you can break through my ice barrier by spitting a mouthful of blood? Fine. Let’s see how much blood you can spit.”
