Ash had just finished scolding when he noticed the master next to him coughing gently. It reminded him about the young sect master’s message, saying that he and a group of disciples were trapped in the formation at the other courtyard‘s entrance.
His words seemed to imply that a man named Rockefeller could command the formation.
Jeremy, the current head of the Returning Sword Sect, remained expressionless as he said calmly, “Ash, Yukon sect’ s ban is breaking the critical moment. We can’t afford to lose. A bunch of Wasteland natives happened to get a set of formations to create this commotion, so do you need to act personally? Let Protector Yaakov take care of it.”
“My son was killed, and I…” Ash said.
“Where is Protector Yaakov?” Jeremy asked.
Immediately, a man, about thirty, with long hair and frigid eyes, approached Jeremy.
“Sect master!”
Jeremy said, “Go to California and deal with the Returning Zeal Headquarters. Safely return the young sect master, capture that murderer named Rockefeller, and hand him over to the Grand Elder, Elder Sandoval, for disposal… Bring it back, then, fight using the majesty of my Returning Sword Sect. Anyone who dares to offend my Returning Sword Sect should be aware that they will be executed by nine clans… ”
Jeremy said those words as if they were unimportant, even speaking about the execution with a hint of enthusiasm.
“Yes!”

“Mom!”
Alex finally saw his mother, Brittany, in a large hall on Mount Dragon-Tiger. Her face ghostly pale and skin as white as frost, she lay on a bed as white as snow.
Several other beds had also been laid out beside it. However, what made Alex’s heart tremble, was that those lying or sitting in these beds were people closest to him.
Maya, the Mystic Maiden, Michelle, Waltz.
Each woman was severely injured.
The only normal person was Beatrice, who was relieved to see Alex’s return. She was naturally happy, but she could not smile because of the surrounding situation.
“Brother, Ynes received a major blow on aunt’s behalf. That person is extremely powerful, and our people are truly defeated. Now, only Daya can temporarily delay her death. The Fairy Doctor said that there are no other ways left and that Ynes can last three days at most. She no longer has the will to live and has asked us to kill her several times. She claims death is better than living and that she no longer has ties with anyone,” Beatrice whispered to Alex.
“I got it!”
Alex approached Ynes and took her from the exhausted Daya. “Daya, rest… I’m here…”
Daya’s face was drenched in sweat. She was giving it her all. However, treating the symptoms certainly didn’t address the underlying issue.
“I’m sorry, husband. I failed to protect everyone,” Daya cried, tears streaming down her fragrant cheeks. The once natural goddess had actually apologized and shed tears for this, revealing how guilty she actually felt.
She had taken on a massive burden and was now carrying it on her back.
