Thud!
The moment Alex’s body fell into the Troop Raising Pond, he noticed how different it was from a regular swimming pool, the water contained razor-sharp killing intent. Like tiny razors, there wasn’t just one, but millions of them.
It was as if his entire body was about to be torn apart.
He thought how truly fantastic the world must be when he recalled those undressed women swimming freely in the Troop Raising Pond… They were obviously humans, but how could there be such a vast difference? Back when he looked at their enjoyable expressions, they clearly felt no pain at all.
Buzz!
A stream of mental strength from the woman on the shore descended. It was some kind of mental barrier that could help him isolate most of the killing intent.
At the same time, the collar around his neck trembled as the woman’s voice was heard. “Compose your thoughts right now. The Troop Raising Pond emits an ominous aura. The weapons raised here will shed killing intent. If you can’t withstand it, you will be devoured and turn into an idiot.”
“You and I aren’t enemies! Why do you want to harm me?” Alex yelled.
“Harm you? You are still unqualified!” Indifference filled the voice of the woman in white. “It was your opportunity and luck that I drew over Wasteland native like you! What makes you think all will be smooth sailing if you acquire the opportunity? You’re overthinking! You merely acquired the opportunity as an entrance ticket.”
“Whether you will benefit or get destroyed later will depend on effort and the courage to risk your life. If you don’t even have the courage to risk your life, then you should just rest eternally in the Troop Raising Pond!”
Alex somewhat understood her speech. The woman didn’t harbor a grudge against him, but it wasn’t like she was taking him seriously either.
Alex’s arrival was a small, inadvertent decision she had made in her subconscious. Moreover, she had bestowed a great favor upon him. In her eyes, she had all the right to make demands from Alex, not to mention that he still had to be grateful to her.
“You may start diving now.”
“Head to the right.”
It didn’t take long before Alex saw the young lord they had mentioned.
He was almost perfect!
Younger than thirty, gentle and elegant with a faint smile on his face, the man wore an ancient outfit with his long hair draped behind his back. He cast a gentle glance at the woman in white.
He then saw Alex.
“Lorelei, who is this?” The man was a little shocked. It had always been him and another fifteen women in Yukon Sanctuary. They were the only ones there, but he was now slightly dubious with the sudden appearance of an extra man.
Alex asked, “You’re called Lorelei?”
He noticed that Lorelei, dressed in white, revered the man greatly, with her tone extremely gentle. She immediately introduced Alex to him.
