The battle had finally started.
Julius was frustrated and annoyed. That was because he wouldn’t be able to kill Alex right away within his target’s own mental domain… Before this happened, he would try to break through the domain. Yet if he tried to do so, he was worried that Alex might jump out of the formation, which meant that everything would go back to square one.
Hence, he had to stall him before he thought of a plan. He didn’t dare to use his ultimate trick
As they fought, Alex suddenly shouted out of nowhere. “Stop!”
Julius asked, “Why? What are you trying to do?”
Alex replied. “I have sudden enlightenment. Wait for me!”
After that, he rushed out of the domain and sat down with his legs crossed. It was as if he was going to learn something.
Julius was stunned. ‘What the f*ck, I’m not your master. Not only do I need to spar with you, I have to leave you to some enlightenment so that you could kill me?’
However, the man was still worried that Alex might use formations again…
‘There’s no way out of this!’
Alex actually knew what exactly Julius was thinking. That’s why he was so relaxed about this fight. Just a while ago, he noticed that the light green lotus flower was shaking, amongst the three thousand lotus flowers growing in him.
Up till now, most of the lotus flowers were still closed, a mere bud. Only a few had bloomed up till now. From the bloomed flowers, Alex found out that a few spells within the Ten-point Forbidden Spell were related to them. The mysterious pattern on top of the lotus flowers could increase the power of certain spells, for example, the Great Icebound Spell, the Great Flame Spell, and the Great Void Spell.
Yet now, this flower was relatively unfamiliar. It was brimming with gold light, but it seemed to be some kind of golden powder upon closer inspection.
‘Is this pollen? From the lotus flowers?’ Alex immediately started pondering while approaching the lotus flower.
Clenching his teeth, he inserted his mind into the flower, basking in the wavering golden pollen. The next thing he felt was a significant impact on his consciousness as if it was going to explode sooner or later.
As expected, it was indeed golden pollen that contained a large amount of power. Alex could clearly feel his mental strength proliferating after he soaked his mind in this pollen. Moreover, a stream of consciousness was blooming in his head. It was yet another odd pattern, which looked rather different this time. It looked like the hybrid of a fish and a bird.
After that, the pattern turned itself into a martial skill, and a giant roc rose into the air.
“Holy sh*t!”
“Isn’t this thing… That Lunula young lord’s skill?”
“Roc Divine Punch!”
Alex sent out a punch as well. “Eleventh Forbidden Spell, the Great Roc Spell!”
Both sent out a giant roc image at the very same time.
‘What?!’ Julius froze. ‘How does he know the Roc True Arcana too?’
“Hmph! So you were secretly learning my skills, huh? But you’ve underestimated the Roc Divine Punch. How could you possibly defeat me with a faux Roc Punch?!”
Wooo…
Boom!
After a loud explosion, Julius’ Roc Phantasm disappeared, whereas Alex’s was still there.
“Isn’t it obvious which one is the true Roc Phantasm now?” Alex smiled softly, then spat some fresh blood out of his mouth.
