“First time through space?” Saria asked with a smile after she noticed Alex’s expression.
Alex nodded. “Yep! Back then, I couldn’t go through voids, and now I can. But there’s been so many things going on, so much so that I don’t even have time to spend with my family. So it’s only natural that I didn’t ever consider traveling through space.”
Saria nodded as well. “There are indeed a lot of things happening in America now.”
Phoenix spoke up. “I’d say you’re just busy with your many women.”
Cold sweat trickled down Alex’s forehead as he knew well that she was right about that. It was, in fact one of the reasons why he had so little time. A while back, he had to give Ynes his attention whenever he was free. Even now, he would still need to see her once in a while so that she could recover quicker. Moreover, he couldn’t possibly ignore his other women for long periods of time either. Waltz, Maya, Cheryl, Daya, Phoebe, and Luna were all his lovers, so he had to pay attention to each of them so that they wouldn’t feel neglected.
Saris frowned. “You should be more loyal. It’s not good to be with too many women.”
She then turned towards Phoenix. “Just like your father, he had a hundred and eight women in total. What a waste of time. If he wasn’t with that many women, he might’ve achieved even more during his days. And he wouldn’t have gone missing then.”
Alex was so shocked that it left his mouth agape. “Your father had a hundred and eight wives?”
Phoenix replied. “His situation was rather different”
“How so?”
“He had a mystical tool called the Six Eternities and reincarnated a hundred and eight times. That’s how he ended up getting into a hundred and eight relationships. And in this lifetime, all of them came back looking for him…”
Alex didn’t know what to say at all. ‘Isn’t… That just too bizarre?’
“Even if he sleeps with one of them every night, it’d take at least half a year to get through all of them. Shouldn’t his wives have issues with that? Oh, wait… This question might sound a little weird, but I’m truly curious.”
“He built a manor…”
Just as Phoenix was about to continue, Saria scoffed. “Manor? It’s literally a lovenest, made to spend time with his women… There’s a specific time boundary around it too. So a month in there was equivalent to a minute in the outside world.”
These people pretended not to care but were highly alert the entire time. Those people followed them from a distance as well, not approaching them at all. Some even merely used their divine consciousnesses to tail them secretly.
A day later, the ship landed on another planet. This place was much bigger than the Earth.
Phoenix gave him a brief introduction. “This is the Chained Space, and it’s connected to seven other worlds through the Cosmic Corridor. And the Beast King Pool is in the deepest one!”
“These seven worlds are called the Hepta Beast Village altogether, and demon tribes mainly rule it. Of course, other tribes exist too, and humans are one of them.”
Alex finally understood what people meant by the grass being greener on the other side. He seemed like a little child as this was the first time he left Earth. He was extremely curious about every single new thing he saw.
“What is the Cosmic Corridor?” Alex asked.
“It’s kind of like a natural high-speed corridor in space, similar to what some scientists would call linear wormholes.”
