“I don’t want to!” Phoenix rejected his suggestion unexpectedly, leaping with all her might.
The large groups of vengeful spirits sensed her. They immediately rushed toward her as if they saw food after being starved for weeks.
“My God, this dumb*ss!”
Alex was exceedingly annoyed by this. ‘If something were to happen to her, this happy ending would end with a funeral instead!’
He then picked Jade up with both arms and lunged in Phoenix’s direction. It was fortunate that he already broke the seal set upon him.
With a loud roar, the spirits slowly backed away one after another. Alex then grabbed Phoenix with his other arm and rushed out of the spirit-filled place.
“Are you out of your mind?! Your cultivation has been scaled, so how could you just come over without thinking?”
He seemed very stern, only to realize that this woman ignored his words, and she even grinned brightly. “I wanted to imitate those dumba*ses too, jumping off a cliff even though they knew their lives would be at risk.”
Her sweet, beautiful smile made Alex calm down, his anger dissipating instantly.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
“Look!” Phoenix lifted her chin, exposing her neck.
There was a deep red mark over it since Juvia nearly snapped her neck just now.
Alex reached his hand out and touched the red mark, brushing his Chi gently against it and healing it at a tremendously shocking speed. After that, he brought out the Phanes Ax once more and broke the seals to her cultivation. He picked Jade back up into his arms and ran straight to the bloody pond. The pond was filled with high-class blood and would be of use to Jade.
Alex could only lean against the woman’s body, not saying a single word.
Just then, a meow came from above their heads. It was Whitey, still standing on top of the grimstone. In just a few moments, they noticed several streams of blood flowing down like waterfalls.
“The corpses!”
“Those corpses that fell from the cracks in the sky are coming again!”
Alex yelled out to the top. “Whitey, stay up there for now. I’ll be back for you in a bit!”
He then brought Jade out of the pond and quickly said, “According to the memories of the evil Bodhi, the moment these corpses come crashing down, the Altar of Gods will open, then we’ll be able to destroy it.”
