Chapter 102 Freya’s Request For Contraception 

Freya knew she had to survive first. 

She had to rescue Linda, Peyton, and Jacobs in Porejime

Her feelings for Jacob were complicated. Initially, she intended to use him, but he ended up saving her life and treating her kindly. She would be less than human if she wasn’t touched by his actions. 

Jacob was now unconscious in a hospital bed because of her, which made her feel somewhat guilty and uncomfortable. 

Freya took a deep breath and allowed Ms. Lovett to pack her belongings. She slowly rose, fighting the discomfort in her body, and exited the room. 

Descending the ornately carved staircase to the first–floor living room, Freya paused at the top to survey the scene below. 

The layout was unchanged from three years ago. The black marble floor was adorned with a pristine white velvet carpet, white leather sofas, and a rosewood and obsidian side table sat in the center. 

A corner of the side table caught Freya’s eye, causing her heart to flutter. Three years had passed, yet she couldn’t forget that stormy night. 

Nathaniel had seized her wrist, dragged her to the cold surface of the side table, and swung a golf club at 

her. 

Freya took another deep breath and continued down the stairs. 

Nathaniel should have been preoccupied with work, given that the East Saeville project was at a critical stage. However, he was lounging on the sofa, engrossed in a financial magazine. 

A steaming cup of tea sat on the side table, and he held a lit cigarette. The smoke swirled around him. obscuring his handsome features. 

Upon hearing Freya’s footsteps, Nathaniel instinctively extinguished his cigarette, waved away the lingering smoke, and shot Freya a seemingly cold glance that was tinged with awkwardness. 

The absurd incident on the helicopter had significantly altered Nathaniel’s perception of her. 

Freya met his gaze and said in a hoarse voice, “Nathaniel, I need to take a contraceptive pill.” 

Nathaniel looked at Freya in surprise, his gaze sharp. 

He pursed his lips and glared at her coldly. 

Freya thought he might not have heard her clearly, so she elaborated, “Taking the pill within 24 hours can prevent pregnancy. I need to take it now…” 

Crash! Nathaniel angrily knocked the teacup off the side table, shattering it on the floor.

Nathaniel gritted his teeth and demanded, “Send me some medication.” 

“Mr. Morgan, are you unwell? Koen asked anxiously. 

Nathaniel snapped. “I need the contraceptive pill! Send it immediately!” 

He ended the call, stood up abruptly, and strode over to Freya. He towered over her, his gaze cold and disdainful. 

He gripped Freya’s wrist tightly, almost lifting her petite frame off the ground. 

Freya felt a searing pain in her wrist, but she maintained a calm demeanor. 

Nathaniel sneered. His smile was attractive but cruel, making him appear even colder. 

Freya, do you really think I want you to bear my child? Don’t flatter yourself! If I wanted a child, you would have been pregnant three years ago! Why would I wait until now? I don’t need a cripple to bear my hild!”
