“Jacob!” Freya pushed him away which snapped him back to reality as he took a deep breath.

“I’m sorry, Freya. I…”

Freya looked at him and said, “There’s no way we can be together anymore. Perhaps we still had a chance before, but not anymore. I can’t be a lover to all of you. Don’t you find that disgusting?”

Jacob’s expression turned pale and was unable to speak. When he brought Freya to a ball back then, she was humiliated by everyone. Jacob smiled and surrendered before returning to his car. Before he left, he told Taylor, “If you want to look for your sister, I might be able to help! Goodbye, Ms. Freya.” He blew her a kiss before speeding away.

Freya felt alive as she watched Jacob disappear into the woods. She did not expect Jacob to lash out on Nathaniel in just a few days. They were once good friends, and the person who knew Nathaniel the best would be Jacob. She was frustrated but could not understand why. She wanted Nathaniel to die, but when she was finally going to see that happen, she felt stressed and anxious.
