Nathaniel and Freya's closeness left no space for Luna, who was forced to step aside. Even the oxygen mask slipped from Nathaniel’s face.

Luna had to move away, watching as Nathaniel pulled Freya onto his lap, guiding her hand to his face and murmuring, "It hurts," with a pout.

Freya, amused and exasperated, pulled her hand away gently. "There are people around. Control yourself."

Nathaniel, eyes closed, told Luna, "You can leave now."

Luna's grip on the oxygen tank tightened, her knuckles turning white.

"Yes, Mr. Nathaniel. I'll leave the oxygen tank here..."

"No need, take it with you," Nathaniel replied, still holding Freya close. "I already have the oxygen I need."

Luna looked at Nathaniel in disbelief, her heart sinking. Three years ago, everyone knew Nathaniel only saw Freya as a tool. When did he fall so deeply in love with her?

Luna's eyes turned red as she glanced at Freya, who was held so intimately by Nathaniel. That position was never hers. She took a deep breath, turned, and left the office, closing the door behind her.

Freya sat on Nathaniel's lap, looking at him helplessly, trying to wriggle free but finding herself held tight.

"She's gone," Freya said, attempting to push him away. His eyes were so swollen; she needed to clean them with some water.

"I wasn't acting. Luna leaving doesn't change anything," Nathaniel said, barely opening his eyes to look at Freya, stroking her smooth hair. "I need her temporarily. Once I find a suitable replacement, she'll be gone."

Freya suddenly laughed, tapping Nathaniel on the forehead. "Why are you so bad?"

"You have no idea, Ms. Luna was almost in tears just now!"

Nathaniel clenched his teeth. "Freya, can't you pity me a little? You're deliberately making it hard for me, aren't you?"

Freya hadn't realized that a half-month business trip could make Nathaniel so insecure.

She sighed, looking at Nathaniel. "This jewelry exhibition is important to me. I want to give it a try. Three years ago, I was supposed to go, but then..."

Freya trailing off.

Three years ago, the Gomez Group was still thriving. The Gomez family excelled in real estate and shipping, and Killian doted on his daughter.

Freya studied art and design, so Killian established a jewelry company under the Gomez Group. Though it couldn't compare with major jewelry brands, it grew rapidly under the Gomez family name.

Freya managed this company herself, eventually winning multiple jewelry design awards. She finally secured an invitation to the Pontenero Fashion Jewelry Exhibition.
