Freya looked up at Michael with a calm expression, despite the pain in her knee from the recent kick.

"Mr. Michael, I don't think my brother, a child, holds any value for you."

"You brought him here to force my compliance, and I'm not resisting."

"I don't believe I'm important enough for someone like you to go to such lengths, unless it's about your daughter, Abigail."

"Hmph!" Michael's face changed slightly, surprised at her composure.

Freya continued, "I boldly guess that bringing my brother and me to the open sea isn't just about avenging your daughter."

"It was Nathaniel who killed her. I was merely an accomplice. Killing me would only make Nathaniel more guarded, making it harder for you to seek revenge against him."

"Besides, you've brought me here. If I were to avenge my loved ones, I wouldn't waste words. I'd kill you directly."

Freya gasped for breath, her knee still throbbing. Her arms were held up, exacerbating old injuries and causing her pain.

But after enduring three years in prison, she had developed a strong tolerance for pain.

At this moment, she appeared to be on equal footing with Michael, calmly stating, "You must want something from me, something so important that you're willing to risk offending Nathaniel to get it."

Michael was taken aback, feeling a chill down his spine from her insight. She seemed eerily composed, giving him an unsettling feeling.

Both veterans of Saeville's business world, Michael had known Killian and his family for years. He remembered the little girl by Killian's side, cute and clever, but not as unsettling as the woman before him now.

Michael stared at her coldly, and decided to drop the act. He wanted to threaten her, break her mentally, then force her to tell him everything he wanted to know.

But she’s so determined that he slightly panicked.

He tried threatening her by almost cutting off the rope holding Mason in the air, but all she did was just watch in silence.

"What did Abigail say to you in Stanna before Nathaniel shot her?"

Freya was momentarily stunned, then chuckled, "Nothing much. She told me to die."

"How about this: you tell me what Abigail said, and I'll tell you a secret about your father and Nathaniel's mother."

Freya's expression changed slightly, then she laughed, "What's the use of that? It's just an old love triangle from twenty years ago. Knowing or not knowing doesn't matter."

Michael laughed, "Ms. Gomez, you're quite carefree. But Nathaniel has always hated your family. When Zander's plane crashed, it wasn't Killian's fault. He was just a scapegoat! There was someone else behind it! Don't you want to know who?"

Freya's gaze turned cold. If Michael wasn't lying, then Nathaniel had wronged her family terribly.

He had been targeting the wrong enemy all this time.

If that’s the case, Nathaniel owed her and her family too much, way too much.

Michael smiled, "Don't you want to know who manipulated both families, causing them to turn against each other?"

"This person is a master schemer!"

"Tell me one secret, and I'll tell you one. Deal?"
