Chapter 27
Trust me not to go down without at least putting up a fight. As soon as Marco tried forcing his lips on mine, I hit him as hard as I could.
“Tuck!” He yelled, leaning his face away. The metallic taste of blood on my tongue gave me the slightest bit of satisfaction.
“Bitch” Camar cursed at me, his hand raised to hit me hard across the face,
Without wasting another second, I kicked him hard in the shin and pushed myself out of Varis grip. I bolted for it, my heart hammering in my chest as I managed to squeeze out of a small.
ried willing myself, picturing myself turning in my head.
Coche on, come on, I thought to myself, tears prickling my eyes at the Alplessness I now felt. I’d come to innermost parts of the garden so there was no one here to help me or even save me.
Come on, I willed myself even further, praying for some miracle of some miracle to occur.
Nothing
“Don’t let her get away,”
I heard Marco yell from behind me. The sound of their footsteps were getting closer. They were catching up.
I let out a shaky breath, trying to get as far away from them as I could. Of course, faith chose that moment to set a lavender bush in my path that made
me trip.
“Ahh.”
I let out a groan as I hit the cold ground with a tongue. The sound of a growl close to my head made my blood run cold.
My first thought was to immediately get up and try to make a run for it. A black wolf came into view and I had to resist the urge to wrinkle my nose. It smelled so foul. The urge to retch up all the food I’d eaten hit me hard.
“Let’s give her a good time.” The wolf cackled, before inching closer to my body.
I could feel it’s cold snout touching the side of my body. It was sniffing me. Marco and his gang had seemed dangerous in human form. I didn’t want to think of how it would be now that they were in wolf form.
“Get away from me.” I screamed in anger but they didn’t seem to care.
Their eyes remained clouded with lust as they inched closer to my body, ready to lunge and take what they wanted.
I closed my eyes, bracing myself for whatever was to happen. A tear slipped down my cheeks as a thought hit me.
Emma. Was she okay? She probably had no idea of what was about to happen to me now. Even if she did, she was too young to understand.
