Chapter 9
All I could do was nod my head in reply. I closed my head, trying to focus on anything but the excruciating pain I was going through.
Blair was patiently coaxing Emma. As much as my whole body hurt, I feel safe.
Eventually, we reached the hospital. As soon as the helicopter landed, Blair took me in his arms and hurried into the hospital.
The bodyguards followed swiftly after him, their footsteps clanking against the tiled floor of the hospital.
“This is the royal hospital. They offer the best treatment here. Rest assured you’ll be fine, Melanie.” Blair explained, still carrying me in his arms as we reached the entrance.
AMI could do was muster a small nod. The pain was so much that I was barely even able to think straight.Just now, in front of those greedy dog–like parents and Ashley, I had to be strong because I had to protect Emma. but now, in front of my family and friends, I just wanted this pain to end.
Standing close to the entrance was a tall man. I watched as he quickly walked up to us, his face filled with what looked like concern.
“Melanie.” He breathed out.
“Forgive me for my useless. I wasn’t there first to protect you and Emma.”
He grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips. A simple gesture.
I felt my heart skip a beat. This is my fifth elder brother, Olavir. He had dark hair and brown eyes that looked so warm and welcoming. Even though he couldn’t came here firstly, I knew he was someone that would protect me.
His face became stern as he turned to Blair. “We need to get her to the doctor now.”
Blair nodded his head. Just as we were about to enter the hospital, we were stopped by some nurses. They were in our way, preventing us from entering. There were more than ten of them.
“What’s the meaning of this?” Olavir’s eyes narrowed on them.
“With all due respect,” One of the nurses stepped forward, “We refuse to let this whore pass and get any kind of treatment at our hospital.”
“What?” Olavir’s expression darkened.
ou heard what she said.” Another one retorted, folding her arms. “We saw the live stream and everything that happened. She’s nothing but a dirty whore. The only thing she’s good for is breaking up homes. Filth like her doesn’t deserve to get treatment at such a noble hospital as ours.”
I could see Olavir’s temper visibly rising.
I felt my chest tighten at the harsh words of the nurses. They didn’t even know me and they already had so much ill–feelings towards me.
“I-”
I didn’t get to finish my sentence as I began to cough out some more blood. My throat felt like it was on fire.
“Don’t even try talking.” The nurse who had spoken had a look of disgust on her face. “Whores like you don’t deserve to even step foot here.”
I closed my eyes, I agreed to invest in the construction of this hospital, yet now a nurse is blocking me out?
One of the nurses saw Emma and she pointed at her and cursed, “Isn’t that the illegitimate daughter?”
“Hold her.” Blair handed me to one of the guards.
I watched as he walked up to the nurse. Without warning, he slapped her hard across the cheek. She turned to him in shock.
“You asshole!” She yelled in anger.
Blair’s hands turn into wolf claws and he knocks the nurse down in one fell swoop. All of the nurse’s teeth fall out and blood spits out of her mouth.
I held my breath as Olavir turned to look at me. “No one can insult you. Not now, not ever.”

I was truly seeing the loving look in his eyes. Olavir sent me a smile before turning to look at the hospital staff. He addressed the nurses first.
“You’re all fired. You have thirty minutes to pack all your rubbish and leave this hospital.”
They were all shocked by his proclamation. They tried to come up to him to beg but the guards stood in their way, making them stumble back.
He turned to the guard holding me. “Get her admitted. She needs to get treated now.”
The man nodded his head. “Yes sir.”
Without wasting time, he began to carry me into the hospital. I turned back to following straight after me.
As soon as we entered the ward, the doctor wasted no time and began attending to my wounds. The door was open so I could still see Olavir standing outside.
Hface was twisted into a look of annoyance. His phone was pressed to his ear so it was obvious he was making a call.
“I don’t give a fuck what that’s about. What I said stands and that’s final!” A voice said from over the phone.
No doubt it was my other brothers he was talking to. It sounded like they were about to fight.
I was put on the hospital bed and immediately fell into a semi–conscious state. I don’t know how long it was, but I heard someone talking next to my
ear.
“Mom, how are you doing.”
The voice was Emma’s.
“How is she doing now?”
The voice was my brother Olavir’s.
“Not good at all.” the doctor shook his head. “None of our treatments are working for her. Her injuries are very serious.” The doctor explained.
“Fetch the moon potion for me. If anything, that should help with her health.”
“Yes, Dr. Olavir.” The guard bowed his head and immediately left the ward.
He moved towards my bed and grabbed my hand. Even though I was in a lot of pain, I felt the warmth emanating from him. It made me feel a tad bit less miserable than I was feeling.
“You’ll be fine, Melanie. I know you will.” He smiled at me.
Not a moment later, the guard enters the room again. He is panting heavily, a small bottle in his hand. He must have run to get the motion.
“Dr. Olavir.” The guard handed the bottle to Olavir.
