Mason was the first to notice Evelyn. He raised a brow but still greeted her. "What a coincidence."

Evelyn gave him only a faint glance before pulling Justine away in another direction.

She clearly had no intention of acknowledging him.

He had always looked down on her. In the past, his attitude had been full of contempt. She had tolerated it for Lucas' sake. But now, she had no reason to show him any courtesy.

Justine had even less interest in acknowledging Flynn and completely ignored the two of them.

Mason was rather surprised, but he wasn't angry.

Lately, Evelyn had grown a temper. Had she really changed her approach to pursuing Lucas?

On the eve of Easter, she genuinely didn't bring them soup in the end, which proved that Lucas was right.

"Don't you think Evelyn is kind of arrogant?" Flynn asked with knitted brows, a little baffled. "Why do I get the feeling she doesn't care about us at all?"

Mason couldn't wrap his head around it. Was she trying a new way to announce her existence, or was it something else? Lately, she really hadn't treated them like she used to.

If Evelyn were still wholeheartedly devoted to Lucas, she wouldn't be stupid enough to antagonize them. She was probably trying to come up with some new tactic to get attention.

Evelyn wasn't feeling well. It was probably because of the radiotherapy that morning. It didn't take long for her to feel tired standing in heels.

Justine noticed Evelyn seemed unwell and had her sit in the lounge area. "Take a break. I'll look for Fergus for you."

Evelyn agreed. Her body really couldn't take much more.

Justine went off to socialize on her own.

Evelyn suddenly stopped struggling. She looked at him, reminding him, "Blake, I'm no longer that little girl whom you needed to protect and control. I don't need your concern or restrictions. I hope you understand that reality."

They had, in truth, already gone their separate ways. Blake no longer had the right to tell her what to do, and he understood exactly what Evelyn meant.

His gaze dimmed, and his expression stiffened briefly before he quickly regained his composure.

She was nothing more than a girl acting out.

He had found another woman. It was normal if she was upset about it. However, he wasn't going to break up with Jessica.

Evelyn didn't care what Blake thought and tried to pry his hand off.

There was a sudden commotion nearby, and she instinctively looked up. Coincidentally, she met Lucas' indifferent gaze from across the room.

Tiffany stood poised by Lucas' side. He had seen the struggle between Evelyn and Blake from the beginning. However, he merely paused for a moment before casually shifting his gaze away.

He had no intention of probing further into whatever was going on between Evelyn and Blake.
