So that was what Blake was truly worried about. He only cared about Evelyn because of his collaboration with Bluezen, not because of their past relationship.

In his eyes, she was just Lucas' wife. If she didn't know her place, Lucas' anger might affect him and cause a lot of problems.

Calmly looking at him, Evelyn asked, "Is that all you wanted to say to me?"

Blake put out his cigarette and turned to look at her. "That's not all. Jessica doesn't know about our past relationship. You should play nice with her."

Was he warning her to say nothing?

Evelyn suddenly felt like laughing, but after everything that had gone down today, she felt her nose sting.

She said impassively, "Blake, I can talk to her if she's curious about how you became my brother, but is there anything else between us?"

He frowned momentarily before he smirked. Then, he responded, "Evie, you're all grown up now. You can hide the relationship that everyone used to know about."

Back then, the Grant family knew about Evelyn's feelings toward him. Now, she could suppress her feelings for him.

He liked how mature she had become.

"As for Lucas, it's normal for men to fool around outside their marriage. Jessica doesn't know that he's your husband, so don't go around making a fuss over it and making things hard for Tiffany," Blake reminded.

"Did Lucas tell you to say that?" Evelyn met his gaze.

However, he turned to leave without explaining anything.

Evelyn stood in the corridor, feeling the cold win against her skin. She took a deep breath and smiled mockingly.

The man who had once promised never to let anyone hurt or bully her was now watching her being dragged through the mud. He had even made it a point to ask her not to make things difficult for Jessica and Tiffany.

By the time Blake had returned to the group, Lucas was chatting with them, not caring about the earlier incident.

She quietly whispered into Lucas' ear. "Lucas, will Evelyn tell Grandma about what had happened? If that happens, won't Grandma know about you and Tiffany…"

Evelyn was a calculative woman. There was a chance that she might snitch on them and ask Maria to tear Lucas and Tiffany apart! She was so annoying!

Lucas' gaze darkened as he commented with certainty, "She won't."

It was true that Evelyn would not say a thing. In fact, she had already headed down the mountains in the car the homestay had provided for her.

Since they were about to get a divorce, anything that Lucas did was none of her concern.

Since it was still the weekend, Evelyn went to Deborah's home.

Seeing that Evelyn was alone, Deborah hesitated momentarily but still said nothing about it. Instead, she cooked up a table full of food.

Watching Evelyn eat, she suddenly frowned and asked, "Why have you lost so much weight? Are you sick or something?"
