Michael maintained his neutral tone. "Please come to the CEO's office at Bluezen around noon."

The divorce process was tedious, but it was absolutely necessary. When Lucas mentioned the property transfer after the divorce previously, she thought it would take a while. To her surprise, she was being notified so soon.

As she settled, her gaze immediately caught sight of a beige suit jacket that looked like it belonged to a woman. It hung on a coat rack in the open doorway to the rest area.

In an office decorated with cool tones and heavy with the atmosphere of work, that suit jacket stood out. It was glaringly out of place.

She could easily imagine the owner of the suit jacket being allowed to freely enter the office, even having permission to use the private lounge area.

Evelyn only glanced at it briefly before dismissing it, turning her gaze elsewhere.

"Ms. Reed, would you like some coffee?" the secretary offered, bringing her a cup.

Evelyn nodded in thanks but didn't touch the coffee. She waited for nearly half an hour before hearing footsteps approaching.

The door opened, and Lucas walked in, still speaking on his phone. His deep, calm voice carried from the phone. "Yes, I'll go over after I finish this."

He was on a video call.
