As soon as Tiffany arrived, she walked straight up to Justine and extended her hand, as if there had never been any bad blood between them. "I hope we can work together smoothly and pleasantly this time."
Justine raised an eyebrow and motioned toward Evelyn. "You'll want to talk to Evie about that. You've got the wrong person." She did not shake Tiffany's hand.
Tiffany's fingers tensed slightly, and after a brief glance at Evelyn, she calmly withdrew her hand. "Alright, then. Let's begin."
She did not even bother to greet Evelyn.
Sitting down on the couch across from them, she opened the contract without looking up. "I noticed the contract gives you full authority over the product testing schedule and the manufacturing process at TechNova Group."
Evelyn looked at her calmly. "Is there a problem with that?"
Still not looking up, Tiffany kept flipping through the pages. "Also, your requirement to deliver a sample within two weeks… feels a little excessive."
She did not directly respond to Evelyn's question. It was as if she had not heard it at all.
Evelyn quickly picked up on it. Tiffany clearly had no intention of communicating directly with her. Whether it was out of disdain or because of what happened recently at the hospital, it did not matter.
Evelyn was actually surprised that Tiffany had not reported that incident. But this was work. Personal matters were separate.
Justine had already noticed Tiffany's attitude. On the surface, it was polite, but underneath there was an unmistakable arrogance, as if she did not want to lower herself by dealing with Evelyn directly.
Jacob sensed something was off, but stepped in anyway. "The two-week timeline shouldn't be a problem. But giving full authority to your side might slow things down a bit. Ms. Reed, you don't have to worry—we stand behind TechNova Group's quality."
Evelyn's voice remained calm, but her words left no room for negotiation. "If your team can't make the decisions, Flying Seal Group can take it up directly with Mr. Grant."
It sounded gentle enough, but the message landed hard.
Jacob's brow twitched. Instinctively, he glanced at Tiffany.
After all, Lucas had personally assigned Tiffany to oversee this project at TechNova Group. Yet here was Evelyn, bypassing her entirely and going straight to Lucas as if Tiffany did not even matter.
By the time it passed 1:00 pm, Justine was starving. She leaned toward Evelyn and whispered, "Are you hungry? I've no clue when this is going to end."
Evelyn was doing fine. Her appetite had not been great lately anyway.
Suddenly, a group of people appeared at the door, holding delivery bags from Aromatique, a high-end restaurant.
Evelyn turned to look at them. They walked in and placed the meal boxes neatly on the table. Tiffany happened to walk over at that moment and raised an eyebrow. "What's this?"
The man leading the group explained, "Ms. Moore, this was arranged by Mr. Grant. He knew you hadn't eaten yet, so he had us bring lunch to you. He said to take a break and not overwork yourself."
Tiffany realized what had happened and could not help but chuckle. "I had too much on my plate today and skipped lunch with him. He must've guessed I didn't get a chance to eat. I'm fine. I'll message him on WhatsApp. Thank you for bringing it over."
The group then took their leave.
