Chapter 74 marks a crucial moment in Internet’s Marriage novel, The Queen Returns—And She's Unforgiving. This chapter blends tension, emotion, and plot progression to deliver a memorable reading experience — one that keeps readers eagerly turning the page.

Evelyn realized she had asked an unnecessary question. She let out a sigh and said, "Alright. I got it."

As long as Lucas did not give her and Deborah a hard time, Evelyn would not care about how much money he spent on Tiffany. That was his freedom.

"Should we buy separate gifts for Aunt Tessie's party?" Evelyn asked.

Lucas listened to how meticulous she sounded and said, "No need. I've got it prepared."

"Alright." Evelyn did not ask any further.

She was about to leave when Lucas suddenly remembered something and said, "I'll send the photos to you."

"Huh?" Evelyn looked back, feeling confused.

Lucas already had his phone out. Maria had sent him six photos, and he was about to forward them to Evelyn.

Just as he was about to click send, Tiffany's call popped up on his phone screen.

He looked at Evelyn indifferently and shut her outside the door without hesitation before he answered the call. He did not wish to let Evelyn hear or interrupt their call.

Evelyn was speechless. She pursed her lips before she turned around and left. Maria asked her to stay for lunch, but she turned her down, saying that she had something to do at work.

Meanwhile, Lucas grabbed his jacket and left after he received the call. By then, he had already forgotten to send the photos to Evelyn.

Lucas called Evelyn early in the morning that weekend. "Tell me your address. I'll pick you up before heading to Aunt Tessie's party."

Evelyn looked at her small apartment and did not intend to let him come over. "No need. I'll head over there myself."

"It's Grandma's request that I go with you," Lucas said at an appropriate speed, making his emotions unclear.

Evelyn fell silent for a while before she said, "I live downstairs of Flying Seal Group."

Tessie had the entire second floor booked for her great-grandchild's sip-and-see party. All the guests who came were big shots.

After Lucas and Evelyn arrived, Evelyn went to the trunk to get the gifts that Lucas had prepared. She noticed there were three beautiful gift boxes in there, making her hesitate a little.

Lucas walked over and handed two of the gifts to her. It was only then Evelyn pulled her gaze away from the remaining gift that looked special.

At the same time, Lucas answered a call, put a hand in his pocket, and said, "Go ahead and head upstairs."

Evelyn hummed softly in response and turned around without any expressions.

She understood what Lucas meant. There were many familiar faces at the party that day. If both of them were to appear together, their relationship as a married couple would certainly be exposed.

Besides, if word got out that he was once married to Evelyn, what should his girlfriend, Tiffany, who had been in the limelight lately, do?

Lucas was just trying to avoid arousing any suspicion.
