Evelyn had tagged the hotel's location in Holmer City on Instagram, and Maria saw it.

Evelyn suddenly did not know how to answer Maria's question. "W-We are at the same event."

She did not explain whether they came together. After all, she truly had no idea about Lucas' schedule before she came over. Besides, Lucas came with Tiffany.

Of course, Evelyn could not let Maria know about that.

Maria's smile grew wider. "How great. Both of you should spend a couple more days there. Just treat it as a couple's retreat. That'll be good for you guys to bond as well."

Evelyn smiled but said nothing.

Maria had no idea that with Tiffany there, Lucas had no time to bond with her at all. She did not even know what his room number was.

"Where's Lucas? Why isn't he there?" Maria asked.

Evelyn thought for a moment and said, "He's still at a business event. He'll be back later."

Maria furrowed her eyebrows and replied curtly, "Why is he always at a business event? It's not like it's an event that he has to attend. He should be spending time with you at the hotel instead!"

"It's fine, Grandma," Evelyn replied.

Besides, Lucas was helping Tiffany build connections. That was the most important thing in the world to him.

"Forget it. How about this? Give me a video call when he returns later, and I'll lecture him for you!" Maria was clearly displeased. "It's a deal, alright? Go get some rest, Evie."

Evelyn wanted to say no, but Maria had already hung up.

Evelyn put her hand on her head, feeling helpless. However, she did not dwell on it. She put down her phone and continued working on the presentation slides.

Graham was still at the party. He had flown to Holmer City that day because of Lucas.

Lucas was a bold and decisive young man, who invested a generous amount of 200 million dollars in the country's aerospace industry. Of course, Graham had to accept his invitation.

The party was bustling. Graham had never been interested in socializing, so he ordered Sebastian to help him send a few groups away.

Graham looked at her. "So, are you not the lead developer?"

Tiffany was caught off guard a little, then finally, she nodded. "I hadn't graduated back then, after all. But the concept was my idea. I could only work with my senior to develop the drone."

She already had one of the largest corporations on her resume at such a young age, so she knew her strengths very well. There was barely anybody among her peers in the country who could compare to her.

"Not bad." Graham looked away with a hum.

Tiffany put on an amiable smile, but some hints of arrogance could be seen in her gentle gaze.

In the next second, Graham said, "You're just following the norm at best. There was once a person who was already leading a team at 20 years old and developed a product that had been accepted by the military.

"Ms. Moore, comparing your achievements to that person's back then, you're not considered that young anymore."

Tiffany was surprised, but she did not let it show. Graham had met top talents from the entire country, after all. It was only normal for his expectations to be higher. However, who was Graham talking about?

Sebastian almost failed to hold back his laughter.
