Steven said slowly, "I found out a lot of things today. Cody told me you didn't just divorce Casper because of the bankruptcy."

Jessica pushed Steven away and looked at him. She asked, "Why are you suddenly talking about this?"

Steven apologized and said, "I'm sorry for misunderstanding you."

But Jessica didn't mind. She said, "It's not a misunderstanding. I may have been too firm when I left you then, so it must have given you the wrong impression of me."

"Annalise told me that if I don't treasure you now, I might regret it," Steven said, looking directly at Jessica.

He continued, "After thinking about it, I thought she was right. Starting today, I'm going to treasure every day I get to spend with you."

Upon hearing that, Jessica smiled and said, "Sure. But I've been busy with my business lately."

Steven said, "I will support you."

"Thanks," Jessica said genuinely.

Used to not having money to spare, Jessica developed the habit of saving money. Now that she was running her own business, she quietly planned what she could get Steven to buy for her. Otherwise, all her efforts to please Steven would be in vain.

"To compensate you for how I've been so cold to you, I'll give you a set of jewelry. Why don't you pick them out yourself?" Steven said, knowing what Jessica liked.

When Jessica heard that, her eyes lit up, and she asked, "Really?"

Finding Jessica's reaction cute, Steven gently ruffled her hair and said, "Yes. We can get a set of jewelry for Cody and the baby, too. Oh, I also plan to bring Zachary in to live with us."

Jessica knew Zachary would never forgive Steven. But seeing how determined Steven was, she had no choice but to agree.
