“All these years, every doctor that Ethlyn lost her wolf and because of which she wasn’t able to heal, and now how is that possible that Cinder appeared in front of everyone out of the blue?” Abigail asked her mate, who was happy with the fact that finally, the other part of her daughter was alive.

“I thought that we could easily lie, Ethlyn, and she wouldn’t be able to figure out the truth, but with Cinder’s presence, she can sense lies easily.” She kept speaking. “But at that moment, I didn’t lie, did I? Nope. I told her the half-truth. She had asked about her pup, and I told her that the doctor couldn’t save her pup. Neither did she know nor anyone would tell her that she had pups, not a pup.”

“Keep dreaming, Abby,” Christian spoke. “We had lost our hope that Ethlyn would be awake again, but she finally did. We didn’t hope for Cinder’s presence, but she came with Ethlyn as an offer of buy one get one free. In the same way, she will come to know about her daughter as well.”

“Are you going to tell her the truth?”

“Yes, if I will need to, Abby. To be honest, I have had enough of your drama.” Christian said sternly.

“Excuse me?” Abigail looked at her mate in shock.

“You’re not excused, Abby. Aren’t you ashamed of your deed? Being a mother, you are planning and plotting to keep the pup of another mother away from her?” Christian questioned.

“The pup about which you’re talking is a MISTAKE.”

“And what you are doing is CRIME. Mistake happens accidentally, but crime is done with proper planning and plotting.” Christian reminded her. “Fine, I agree that the pup I’m talking about is the result of the mistake, but the pup you are talking about is the result of love.”

“I don’t want to act like a wall between mother and daughter, but I’m warning you, Abby, that you will build an unbreakable wall between Ethlyn and you the day she will know about her pup from someone else.” He warned.

“The list of your crimes is increasing. First and foremost was when you came to know that Ethlyn was pregnant with someone’s else pup other than Nathan. You not a once confronted her or talked about it with me about all this thing. You just assumed that your daughter made a mistake by cheating on her mate and punished her by staying quiet when she was being kicked out of the pack.”

“Christ..”

“Shut up, Abby. And listen to me! Neither did you trust Ethlyn or the education that you have given to her, nor did you give her a chance to explain anything to her. All you wanted to know was who was the father of her pup.” The anger that was resting deep down in his heart was finally oozing out like lava, realizing that his mate was going to repeat the same mistake again that she did back then.
