Stunned to hear her son’s voice, Matilda turned to John and asked, “How did you reach home so quickly? Did you cross any red lights?”

Not interested in discussing how he got home in a short period of time, John placed his hands on the back of the couch and said, “If I knew you’re here, I would have asked Dad to come home as well.”

With her eyes still fixed on the screen, Sophia said, “It’s fine. Your mom called Master William just now. He said that he’s not coming back in the afternoon because he’s busy, but he’ll return home in the evening.”
